So interesting how everybody's morning is so different. As I am riding my bike to work and am physical active in the hospital all day, I really enjoy my simple mornings with coffee and a good breakfast. And to be honest, nothing in the world could get me out of bed before 6 am. Since i figured out I am most produktive getting up about 8 am, I am less stressed to become an "early bird" and wondering why I can't get sh** done.
Getting up early is so amazing. Getting out with my girl to see rabbits, deer and hear the sounds of the morning chorus is medicine for the mind. This was just delightful 😊
Had to get up at 5am to be at work at 7.30am... but even without work (am a temp part time worker), I find it easier to keep the 5am routine than to struggle get back to it when I have to. Walking the dogs is just more peaceful in the early hours- no other dogs are out and about 😬, then I come back from that, do a 30min workout, shower, then have breakfast with my husband... and then the day starts after all that 👍

Good morning Madeline and family. What kind of harness do you use for Roxy? Your garden looks lovely. I’ve been doing better in the past few months at eating better and more plant based foods, and managed to lose 20lbs. Not an easy feat for me as I’m 74 and suffer from days of chronic pain. But I now have a new 5 month old dog named Lilly Rose, so we go walking everyday. Good for her and especially me. Have a beautiful week. You are inspiring.
5am or 5:48? Because it does make a difference. I wake up at 5am to get to work at 7:30, take care of the kids’ lunches for school, breakfasts, all of that. Those 45 minutes would feel like heaven to me ;) even so because I’m getting around 3h of sleep a nights due to peri-menopause…tired all the time! But love the motivation, just wish I had time for myself too! That’s one of the reasons I watch these videos, to live trough your life and feel what it’s like to have a slow morning routine (even with the workout!). Love it!
Not sure if this is a common thing but speaking of turmeric: it is really nice in oatmeal in the morning with walnuts! I find it awesome on days where I still want oatmeal but without the sweetness of berries etc. Lovely video as always! Thank you for all your work

I love the balance between B-Roll and you talking in this video! I used to wake up at 5 am back in school because my bus took off five til 7, then it continued in my gap year working at a kindergarten the day I had to be there at 7 and even in Uni I often had lectures at 7 (I know, ridiculous) but now that I'm self employed I get up after my partner leaves the apartment at 7 because we both don't like to interfere in the mornings and I get more and better sleep this way :D
I am up at 4. Always been an early riser. There is something about being up early. I also have to drive yo off leash dog park . Walk 6 miles. I used to get up this early before retiring to drive early to avoid the awful backed up driving . When I got to work, I would read. We also had a gym. I am retired and glad do many companies make it possible for many to work from home especially those with young children. So stressful to be a working parent getting children ready for day care or driving to grandparents or having to leave home alone hoping all is well for them to get themselves to school. During t hose childhood days , I didn't have the luxury of sleeping in or leaving super early. They came first
I usually get up at 5AM on the days I workout on the weekdays because I start work at 8 or 8:30AM. It can be hard when it's dark and cold outside, but I feel so productive and energized once I get to the gym.
Good for you! I’m glad you’ve found a routine that works well for you. I personally could never do this because I struggle with insomnia so if I get to sleep I am not restricting the amount I get. I know that getting the most sleep I can will make me feel the best. Everyone’s different 😊
Watching this video feels like a meditation! I appreciate this video so much right now - we recently got a puppy who is getting us up at 5am and it's taken me a little while to figure out whether I should attempt to nap after we take him out and get my normal hours sleep, or if I embrace it and adjust my day. I have started to adjust my day now to start so much earlier, get mundane tasks done when I am sleepy and feel better for it. This video is beautiful and so helpful. Oh you are so good! I have fallen into terrible habits over the past 2 years whilst working at home and to my shame I just about roll out of bed at 8am to start work for 8.30! I really need to set a better morning routine for myself! Also my dog Ted would happily sleep until 9.30am in the morning and when I say to him do you want to go for a walk he does zoomies for around 5 minutes with me chasing him ala benny hill style trying to get his harness on!!! 🤣🤣

My brother's dog did the same thing with a harness. I switched to using a loop made from the leash and he started running to me instead of running away. My brother quickly bought a collar instead of a harness after I told him.

Hello Madeleine 😊 about the anti inflammatory stuff, I have Invisalign too and my dentist told me not to take anything that is anti inflammatory as it would stop the inflammation in my gums and stop my teeth from moving😮 I don't know if that's true or I misunderstood but I thought it would be good to share it :) love your videos xx

How do you find working out before breakfast or a meal? I can get quite light headed sometimes, especially on leg day when I can lift heavier! So any tips are welcome!
I have a banana or apple before I go! But personally it has never been an issue for me because it’s so early. If you get lightheaded then definitely eat before your workout as everybody is different! Listen to your body x

Why do dogs do this! Tigz, my 12year old yorkie is the same, running away as soon as you get near the door saying walkies. At one point it was due to him developing a sensitivity to the click noise of the harness, but these days his harness is silent and he just likes to turn it into a game I think. Tigz also refuses to go in the rain or cold, hates mornings and mum doesn’t even bother to take him on her morning walk when she’s on dogminding duties, she takes him out at lunchtime instead for her second walk of the day (Tigz does have arthritis so I’m thinking it may be that too). I firmly believe that good quality sleep is the foundation for a good day, so get that right first & everything else falls into place. If 5am works for you, great, as long as you are getting enough good quality sleep for long enough. People should listen to what really suits their body and work back from there to a realistic time which allows them to take part in what they need to in life. A good wake up and nighttime routine also help with that so very nice to see you finding your rhythm with it.

Then suddenly Every lifestyle you tuber is doing the same video/vlog! Eg night routine, morning routine, what I eat in a day routine etc😭... It drives me crazy.. Usually we like a you tuber for who they are and what they do ie their personal brand. I love your channel because you always just seem to do your thing and do not follow the you tube trends to much. At least you didn't go for the rediculous 3am get up which seemed to flood you tube during lockdown 🙄😭
To combat that I usually go out around that time or plan to do something at that time thats not work related/ completely different to what I've just spent the majority of my day doing. Breaking up my day helps to keep my energy levels up.

I wake up at 8, go on a walk along the water 15-20 min, drink smoothie, yoga at home (Yoga By Adrianne 😻) and then breakfast before i start my day :)

My work starts ar 0730 so I get up at 5, take a shower, 30 min of yoga, make breakfast and drink my green tea. Love getting up at 5.

Every time I try this I get so tired in the afternoon (around 4/5 pm) and it feels like I am wasting my day 🥲
Go to bed early. Make sure you get 8 hours! I go to sleep at around 9-10
To combat that I usually go out around that time or plan to do something at that time thats not work related/ completely different to what I've just spent the majority of my day doing. Breaking up my day helps to keep my energy levels up.
