Hello Alan from Australia. I am John. I like the idea as I made a far more crude version years ago. You put more thought into your design. I really like the soft soldered hard ball bearing idea! They say you learn something new every day, well that's another for me today, John.
That's a good idea Alan. Thank you for that. I've been looking for a lever type attachment for a dial gauge for ages with no luck at the price I can afford that is. The last one I saw they wanted £75 for a Starrett one! I've just bought the same Batty tenths indicator in good nick off of eBay for £7.50 plus £3.50 postage. I'm buggered if I was going to pay £75 for the lever attachment! So your idea is a great way to do the job! Cheers!
It took a while for my light bulb to come on also. I was like what is Allen doing and how is this going to work. Wow turns out it works great. I will be making one. Thanks Allen for all the videos and sharing your knowledge.
That's a good idea. I have an add-on for one of my old indicators but this is well worth making to make others suit the purpose, plus save changing indicator for OD and ID. :). Nice job even if, what I find with small parts, -quite ''fiddly" :)

Interesting design - it was only @ 12 mins. that the light bulb finally came on - Doh! I will definitely make one of these.
Well to answer your final question - I believe that will be very useful! Nice, easy little addition to the toolbox.
