It became known sinatra had some mafia ties and the very young and newly elected future president was advised to change his lodging plans because the mafia influence was probably not the best accomodations while in l.a. so jfk lodging plans were changed. Sinatra was furious with the kennedy's for changing his plans. Sinatra never got over it and had a lifekobg and personal vendetta against the new president. He therefore was very quick thereafter to put the kennedy clan in a bad light. The M.M encounter couldn't be missed as the greatest opportunity for sinatra's surpises. Revenge never looks good on anyone.
