The thing about frostslass is that its a very legitimate tech for palkia and baxcalibur to hit Charizard for weakness and potentially oneshot it on top of the already solid ability to sometimes only give up a single prize
Problem is, when you are looking for a tech card, you will always look for a basic because it only takes 1 space in your deck. With Frosslass, you need to run Snorut as well, and probably play 2 Snoruts to make it consistent.
Hoopa has a greater potential as a tech card because it is a basic. It can easily fit in Roaring Moon decks since they usually play 4 energy switches. I believe the only reason they are not playing it right now is because there are not any top tier/high HP/ fighting weak Pokémon right now.
I appreciate this video because it gives me a chance to think about all of the possible combos with cards that have been released more recently. I love cooking decks, good or bad, because it’s fun to think up combinations that people have never seen before.
Toxtricity is a neat alternative to Raichu in some matchups like gholdengo since it's more energy-efficient when discarding energy. Sadly you almost always prefer Raichu since it's so easier to get going and can nuke things like Charizard, which is a strong reason why it's played in miraidon in the first place.
I had this exact thought when toxtricity came out as I mainly play Miraidon variant decks; but Raichu is just so easy to dig out of the deck and power up in one turn that I couldn't bring myself to replace him 👌🏻
Garchomp has actually been doing well in online tournaments by some pilots. Using the first attack to accelerate energy to slither wing when it's needed. 1-1 line of baby inteleon for extra damage help. Irida and then sada's vitality as your supporters off choice. Path to the peak is also good in it!!! Maybe one day Garchomp will get that perfect partner, and it'll be #1!!!
I saw that deck and it looks great, but the lost box matchup looks terrible. Slither wing's attack has way to much drawback for the amount of damage it does.
@gabrielcastillo9745 I've tried it a few times with baby ting lu and it's surpsingly effective. just gotta have jirachi out to keep 4 counters off it. 220 dmg on a prizer is super threatening
@@vkdeen7570 it is 120 damage, not 220. That's why I say it is way to much punish for an attack. Doing 120 (140 with the burn) and 90 to yourself will not trade well at all. If it was for a single energy then maybe.
@@gabrielcastillo9745no I agree that's why I said I've tried it with baby ting lu instead of slither wing. baby ting lu does 220 dmg for 3 energy. never gonna be fantastic into lost box but Cheryl's can help a lot keeping garchomp clear of damage while picking ko's. and could always sneak an iron hands in
If Mewtwo was a +60 or more instead of a +10 base attack I think it would be so much better. Right now it just does not seem to "make it" from my tests because unless you are at the "end game" you can't really do any damage. I would love for that not to be the case though.
I think tera tyranitar is pretty decent, it is pretty similar to hisuian zoroark of course theres lots of difference but tyranitar is tankier and has more reliable/consistent damage compared to it and can potentially hit for supereffective whereas zoroark only hits for normal damage
I also just realized, the attack is for psychic energy attacked to all Pokemon.So you can use Gardvoir to accelerate energy to psychic pokemon, start charging up your attackers, and as you're doing that you are also charging up Mewtwo at the same time. Since it only needs 2 psychic energy to attack, you wouldn't even need Gardevoir for that.@@rupturedsky8885
Got matched with tsareena ex way too often, that I just want to make a deck specifically just to counter those. 1 energy can damage up to 310, with mask can't get countered, and have 300 something hp. and even can attack bench.
Sorry noob here. But if a pokemon attack requires two different energy types (like dragonite does), does it hit for both types as weaknesses? Like it would do double damage for water and electricity?

Maybe not the world's best card ever, but I am loving playing with Garchomp right now. It is so fun.

Tera mewtwo ex + Xatu, the next shadow rider vmax, quite good.
However they need new items card as fog crystal, level ball will be rotated by april

@@zacharyjackson7584 Do people not use Clefairy from Lost Origin with Mewtwo ex? Can potentially accelerate 12 energy out of the deck in one turn.

I still think Zoroark is better because it can reach higher numbers, does not require rare candy and can attack for 1 attachment.

Now that I think about it, Mewtwo ex is going to be a really good card to take the place of Gardvoir and Zacian in Gardevoir ex deck.
Pretty sure Gardevoir can only accelerate to psychic Pokémon

I'm playing Tsareena with ancient Brute and Sneasler and it's amaazing. Works really well

Garchomp is such an unfortunate tale, the stats on that card are really good, tera water actually wors against it because of how good miraidon is.
Im keeping my eye on a future Froslass/Palafin deck
