How can we have an artist so great that receives this little attention? I get pissed when I see trap rappers, auto tune abusers, fake gangsters and club rappers get more recognition than this dude. It's not only his rapping ability, it's his production as well... I look at Cole, Wale, Kendrick and all the dudes that made it to mainstream around the same time and they are just soaring. His catalog is insane and he produces his own beats...I don't get it. I think a lot of it has to do with him being a southern lyricist and not really having cosign like the other dudes. (Wale, Jay-z, Ross..J cole got Jay-z, and Kendrick got Dre) I think people rather get their lyricism and meaningful music anywhere but the south due to the stigma that southern folk are ghetto, country, and illiterate . What do yall think?
The South has produced the greatest rap music since the 90s, just a little hint Outlast & Goodie Mob, No Limit and Cash Money era, Young Money (Lil Wayne) Young Jeezy Thug motivation series and Trap or Die, UGK, 3-6 Mafia, Eightball & MJG, Yo Gotti, Money Bagg Yo, Rick Ross, Plies, Scarface & Ghetto boyz, Young Bucks was the best in G-unit ( I'm from Cashville so I relate)....etc

2:19 - 2:57 is still one of the most amazing demonstrations of flow I have ever heard. The tuplet shifts are immaculately clean and his delivery never falters. The rhymes are so smooth too, even when they shouldnt be. That last line Tyrants, quiet, and violent come off all like perfect rhymes even though theyre slanted, and the delivery from the 8th notes to triplets and then back is just perfect. He uses every avenue at his disposal to emphasize just the right words in just the right ways. I could gush about Krit for days man, all of this and he still goes so fucking hard rather than sounding like a dork like a lot of highly technical rappers do

True, but it really sounds like he talking bout rocky, because I remember when I first heard about him they were saying he had a different sound. So I finally gave a listen to dude and thought he was from the south come to find out homeboy from new York and was swagger jacking the south hard as hell. Still faithfully listening to this one in ‘24. One of the greatest diss responses ever put on wax. He cooked a lot of rappers so bad that this version of the track got boycotted off the album lol.
I keep coming back to this song every time and I will never stop spazzing out when he says "Tyrants never keep quiet, They rather be violent so I'm beheading them all"
This is southern rap at its best. I can definitely see how K.R.I.T has combined so many great southern artist into his style...I can hear a little Scarface, Bun B, Andre 3000, and some Pimp C. This song is just too hard right now and I love how he says, " NOW, you want to hear a country nigga rap". Like all these years gone by and you're just now wanting to hear this shit? I love that!
"So I'ma take from all these Southern artists That mainstream never heard of Recycle all of they lingo And make sure I screw my words up Bravo for your swagger-jackin' I'm overwhelmed by your dedication You actually fooled these people into thinkin' That your music was innovative" I love it, dude. Dope lyrics.
Pro Era1999 its Drake. Dude is from Canada but yet his flow Houston inspired. Singing and rapping was a Htown thing back in the 90s. Look up Big Moe and Fat Pat.
Yall wildin' like this emote "🤪". This song wasnt really that bad. Like for a vibe day by day song nah but like a metaphorical diss it's like whoa this guy nas'd him on some black panther shit. So in verdict it is a brilliant song but just a reminder who on top but really not needing to put shi out there.
I'm stuck in the 90's to be honest, so its good I had interest in hearing what David Banner, Lord Jamal talk about.. I'm a NY dude too, I appreciate the Dungeon Family, I only waited for Wu-Tang & Nas joints to come out.
KRIT too real for the mainstream to embrace. Ye and Jay don't want anybody who could threaten that throne. If KRIT got some exposure I swear everyone would love him. All I can say for now is if KRIT doesn't give up because of his lack of exposure and keep dropping tons of music for the love of the underground He'll at the very least be an underground legend like tech n9ne. As long as he keeps coming hard. He's got it in him. Just needs a bigger body of work
I fell in love the first time I heard his voice. I swore I was listening to Pimp C. Coming from the backwoods of Ga, ain't no rap music touched my soul like Outkast and Goodie Mob. But KRIT...just...Damn. A rapper who is gritty, lyrical, and has a message. No singing, no auto tune, and talks, walks, and acts like a MAN. I hope I get to see him in concert one day.
+Kendra Young He was just in Bham a few days ago. CHeck his site out and view his tour dates. If you aint seen em live you just dont know what u missin. I always get the vip tickets for meet n pics. I hope you get a chance to see the dopest alive soon!
Chills when he say "they know what I'm bout you ain't even know it" meaning the top rappers know KRITs talent but the masses dont.. they know him and fear him because he didn't sell his soul. Song aged like wine
I stand by my statement... if Cole or Kendrick did anything like Krizzle did they would be praised but us from the south gotta work 10x harder just for 20x the hate
"So I'ma take from all these Southern artists that mainstream never heard of/ Recycle all of they lingo and make sure I screw my words up / Bravo for your swagger-jackin' I'm overwhelmed by your dedication / You actually fooled these people into thinkin' that your music was innovative" god DAMN.
This is the good shit that radio won't play. I really hate that too because KRIT been putting in work, but yet these new age no lyric having no talent having rappers get the praise. Freshman 2011 XXL in my opinion was the last of a dying breed. Salute KRIT
God please forgive my fucked up soul for sleeping on this phenomenal talent, and only listening to Cole and Kendrick. Lyrically, Big K.R.I.T. is in another dimension compared to the rest.
Kendrick and Cole are alright but as all around artists they're really not on the same level as K.R.I.T. They just appeal heavily to casual hip hop fans that act like they listen to "conscious rap" and think Kendrick and Cole are the only ones that make "conscious rap".
+Kyle Taylor Kendrick has been seperating himself from that crowd since TPAB. But after Cole I'd still say he's second on the list of rappers that appeal to that crowd.

K.R.I.T. please give me an album of this! 10 to 12 songs of heat like this
Absolutely poured his soul on this.
Thats the thing wit KRIT though, he puts his heart and soul into every project, gotta respect that
@@James.k1373 That's why he the greatest MC of the 2010s
I shake my head everytime I hear this song ...this is one of them ones
This song gives me chills thats how you know you feeling this shit!!!
7 years later this song still gives me chills whenever I hear it!!
@@kingofthesun21 everytime
2024, and this track is still relevant and 🔥 the best response to Kendrick since he started calling artist out
"YOU AIN'T SELLOUT A SHOW TILL YOU SELL OUT IN MISSISSIPPI " 🔥🔥🔥🔥 One the illest ways to rep where you from. Much Respect
I keep coming back to this song every time and I will never stop spazzing out when he says "Tyrants never keep quiet, They rather be violent so I'm beheading them all"
Jfrow I read that in his pentameter and god damn this song too fire
Man I end up playing that part back 2 or 3 times EVERY time I play this track. Scorched earth 🔥🔥🔥
HE SNAPPED THAT ENTIRE 2ND VERSE💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Frfr 💯
This is southern rap at its best. I can definitely see how K.R.I.T has combined so many great southern artist into his style...I can hear a little Scarface, Bun B, Andre 3000, and some Pimp C. This song is just too hard right now and I love how he says, " NOW, you want to hear a country nigga rap". Like all these years gone by and you're just now wanting to hear this shit? I love that!
This shit still holds today !!!
"So I'ma take from all these Southern artists
That mainstream never heard of
Recycle all of they lingo
And make sure I screw my words up
Bravo for your swagger-jackin'
I'm overwhelmed by your dedication
You actually fooled these people into thinkin'
That your music was innovative"
I love it, dude. Dope lyrics.
Gnarbro TaKa Shots fired clearly on Iggy
Pro Era1999 its Drake. Dude is from Canada but yet his flow Houston inspired. Singing and rapping was a Htown thing back in the 90s. Look up Big Moe and Fat Pat.
bet and lets be frank a lot of artist bite off of southern hip hop
chickenwityamz Drake is from the south. He spent his summers in Memphis with his dad
Durand Martin no you ass he is from canada
8 years later I’m still screaming the most under rated rapper ever!💪🏾
For real bro! His bars are some of the hardest in tha game!
Most of us been screaming that for 15 years. Not just since Cadillactica came out.
If I owned a radio station id be playing this shit 24fucking/7
NEVER FORGET THAT BIG KRIT IS FOREVER!!!!!!!!MULTI TILL THE SUN DIEeeee
Happy 10th anniversary to the best response record in rap history 🐐
Still Vibing to it 2019 💯%✔️😆
Bih it's May you were in 2018 😂
Nah fr he trynna cap 😂😂😂.
Still vibing in 2021
Yall wildin' like this emote "🤪".
This song wasnt really that bad.
Like for a vibe day by day song nah but like a metaphorical diss it's like whoa this guy nas'd him on some black panther shit. So in verdict it is a brilliant song but just a reminder who on top but really not needing to put shi out there.
Exactly lol I listen to this shit at least 4 times a week.
how do you dislike this? don't take that wrong.. how the fuck COULD you dislike this?
'whats good for hip-hop might not be good for my soul'....so good!
So David Banner brought yall here? OH NOW YALL WANNA HEAR A COUNTRY NIGGA RAP
that andre 3000 line punched me in my face
to be fair i known who big krit was since like 2011 but never really cared to check out his music, i was still entry hip hop level
+Jay Anderson for real man. me and my homie been bangin his tapes in our cars here in houston for years
I'm stuck in the 90's to be honest, so its good I had interest in hearing what David Banner, Lord Jamal talk about..
Just needs a bigger body of work
The best response to Kendrick's Control verse.
ye big krit is realy bro, did u listen king los control response lit to
Check out lupe fiasco's SLR 2
@@danielsilos5364 yea big lupe
Nah lupe did too much on his response it was desperate and sad
cali correa exactly bro
The real 🔥🔥🔥 big krit been on my top 3 since forever
Big K.R.I.T. feat. Rico Love - Pay Attention (Prod. By Jim Jonsin)
soundcloud.com/bigkrit/pay-attention
#CADILLACTICA coming soon.......
Krit if u read this ur return of 4eva album is one of the realest definitely heavy weight hall of fame
That 3rd verse was so much better on this version. bravo boss. #mississippimud
trop lourd
BIGKRITtv good shit Krit. Much Love.
BIGKRITtv DAVID BANNER shouted you and this song out on his Vlad TV interview. That's what brought me here. He looked out 4 u. Btw, this is tight.
One of the best songs in hip hop history amazing
I fell in love the first time I heard his voice. I swore I was listening to Pimp C. Coming from the backwoods of Ga, ain't no rap music touched my soul like Outkast and Goodie Mob. But KRIT...just...Damn. A rapper who is gritty, lyrical, and has a message. No singing, no auto tune, and talks, walks, and acts like a MAN. I hope I get to see him in concert one day.
amen
+Kendra Young He was just in Bham a few days ago. CHeck his site out and view his tour dates. If you aint seen em live you just dont know what u missin. I always get the vip tickets for meet n pics. I hope you get a chance to see the dopest alive soon!
+Kendra Young he does sing doe. + "talks, walks and acts like a MAN" is kinda homophobic.Welcome to 2016.
+cuntfacedkilla803 actually your comment is homophobic since you're assuming that homosexuals aren't men
+cuntfacedkilla803 You know that all gay men aren't effeminate right
This song proves Krit buried Drake and Kendrick 10, yes TEN years before their rivalry. No ones on this man’s level
It really does sound like he's talking about Drake
When I hear KRIT go in on that second verse at 2:21, shit gets me all HYPE!
Sudharshan V. Hari I made choreography to that part lol, check out my channel
Sudharshan V. Hari OMG OKKKK I GET HYPE ON DAT PART TOO HIS ASS SNAPPED
AeinStudios Damn dude... i almost fell outta my chair!
Sudharshan V. Hari 0:58 does it for me...
+AeinStudios yo u did yo thang man.u got skillz bro.
you could feel the fury and passion with his movement and lyrics. still an awesome song.
He's so underrated
Still here In 2024 🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Chills when he say "they know what I'm bout you ain't even know it" meaning the top rappers know KRITs talent but the masses dont.. they know him and fear him because he didn't sell his soul. Song aged like wine
I stand by my statement... if Cole or Kendrick did anything like Krizzle did they would be praised but us from the south gotta work 10x harder just for 20x the hate
Kountry Ken they won geography lottery
Kountry Ken makes southerners stronger
Cole is from the southeast
Cole from the south though so is Lil wayne
I he’s just too hard for people to understand bro
"So I'ma take from all these Southern artists that mainstream never heard of/ Recycle all of they lingo and make sure I screw my words up / Bravo for your swagger-jackin' I'm overwhelmed by your dedication / You actually fooled these people into thinkin' that your music was innovative"
god DAMN.
describes drake perfectly
vinel Kind of what I thought as well.
+Illgamesh what style Is that?
+Illgamesh drake didn't create shit. there was soft ass singing rappers before him.
+Illgamesh HAHA! Kanye "created" the style on 808s & Heartbreaks. Drake, and half of these others so-called rappers, jacked THAT style.
This is the good shit that radio won't play. I really hate that too because KRIT been putting in work, but yet these new age no lyric having no talent having rappers get the praise. Freshman 2011 XXL in my opinion was the last of a dying breed. Salute KRIT
He needs to do something woth joyner lucas. the only 2 rappers thats even relevant these days
real shit
Mzmonica4real
A song with joyner lucas would make more sense now considering how joyner blew up this year
I mean... 2011 also had guys like Lil Twist and Diggy. Every year has their fair share of good and bad artists.
How does this song have less than 100 million views!? KRIT so slept on it’s insane.
Welcome to the Underground Team
I've been bumpin krit since old school
+SkipperXZ The stuff you said mainly applies to Cole. Kendrick is insanely talented.
+Kyle Taylor Kendrick has been seperating himself from that crowd since TPAB. But after Cole I'd still say he's second on the list of rappers that appeal to that crowd.
still hard AF 4 years later
Yup!
I appreciate K.R.I.T. sharing his journey.The game,know the Ledge, and alchemist.Peace and blessings Kang👑💪🏾❤️
forever on repeat
