    Looks like there is a pixel cross hatching effect in current VA panel. It's when a half of pixels are off gives overall bad contrast. Could you confirm that issue exists or not? Although, nice TV with right price per built and picture quality.

    • @markovicmarko87
      @markovicmarko87 2 года назад

      Exactly. The contrast is terrible. I really proved myself when I bought this TV. When it's dark, no matter how good the shot is, the contrast is terrible. When they are lighter in color it is somewhat ok. No more VA panels. Honestly, I didn't even look at the panel when I bought it, I thought it was all the same.

      The input lag, should be the same, the main differences in 43" are firstly the contrast which is going to be worse, due to the poorer blacks and the viewing angle which is going to be better.

    Hi,
    Firstly, thank you for the review. :)
    Quick question;
    Which would you choose between this TV or the Samsung TU8000? I'm aware both are not terrific for gaming, but I'm upgrading from a standard 1080p screen, so anything is better than what I have right now, and will be enough until I can save for something better.
    Thanks for you help! 👍

    • @TVHiFiProinEnglish
      @TVHiFiProinEnglish  3 года назад +1

      I prefer in picture quality, this Philips specially with HDR contents, the brightness in the TU8000 is really poor. The Samsung TU8000 more suitable for gaming because of its low input lag and the operating system that manages all the Smart TV functions is more opened. With the Philips you can barely download any app.

    • @CrimsonRidley
      @CrimsonRidley 3 года назад

      @@TVHiFiProinEnglish Thank you for your reply!
      I've decided to go for this one mainly based on price. I found one for £267, whereas the TU8000 is £379.
      The TV I have now has 33.3ms input lag, and this one seems very similar so I'm already comfortable with that, and my PC is mainly used if playing competitive, so it doesn't bother me too much for my consoles. :)

    Would you say this is a good stop gap tv before hdmi 2.1 tvs become standard next year? I'm looking for the cheapest 50-55 inch 4ktv for next gen consoles that has at least decent image quality. What is the HDR like? Bad, good, acceptable?

    • @TVHiFiProinEnglish
      @TVHiFiProinEnglish  3 года назад +1

      Well, keep in mind that this a low range TV and although the HDR is acceptable, you'll maybe be dissapointed. But if you have a short budget, in my view is a great TV, specially in 50" that has a VA panel, in 55" is IPS.
      You can also check the Samsung TU8005, that has a lower peak brightness, but the input lag is only 10 ms, whereas in the Philips PUS7555 is around 20 ms. It's not a big difference, but can notice a little better performance in the Samsung specially in first-person shooter games.

    Hi, what would you recommend between this 70 inch Philips and 65 inch LG for movies and PS5 gaming ?

    • @TVHiFiProinEnglish
      @TVHiFiProinEnglish  3 года назад

      It depends on the model of LG. The equivalent would be the UN7100 or UN7300. In this sizes, the LG has an IPS panel and the Philips a VA panel. The contrast will be higher in the PUS7555, whereas the viewing angles will be better in the LG.
      In general I prefer the Philips PUS7555, but bear in mind that its operating system Saphi, is much limited that LG WebOS, with few apps available.

      Nevertheless the LG has other strenghts like a better viewing angle and a much better opertaing system with loads of apps.

      Hola Kaydy,
      Depende de la pulgada te lo recomiendo más o menos y depende en que situación lo veas. Por ese precio me imagino que te refieres a la de 43 pulgadas.
      En ese tamaño, el panel es IPS, por lo que es buena opción para verlo en salas muy iluminadas, pero no para verlo a oscuras. Si lo ves a oscuras, es mejor un modelo con panel VA, como la Samsung TU7105 que te va a dar mejores negros, pero por contra el ángulo de visión es peor y tiene menos brillo en HDR.
      Saludos
