How we learned to cut the vine - Winter cut of the vine

It is the end of February and today we were learning how to prune the vineyard. Here in the lowlands on Rye Island, the grapevine has always thrived. By every house, in every garden there was at least a small vineyard, or just a few grape roots. Vines decorated the pergolas, which offered coolness from the hot sun in the summer. We have also established our own small vineyards and now we are learning from more experienced ones how to prune the vines.
