@@PhilosophicalDance even though nowadays his sound is more focused but a little pushed maybe trying to sing "louder"? Or might be cause his age. Idk I hear him here a little "squeawked" and not as free as it could be.
@@jsierra88 I have never heard him live in his bel canto years, I finally heard him live only recently in 2023 when he sang Verdi's Otello in Tokyo....His squillo was amazingly penetrating...the most impressive sound I have heard live to this date, followed by Berti, Grigolo, and Alagna.

He improved his technique after years. Now he's much older but a better singer. IMO.

The high D is reminiscent of Kraus' sound.
Kunde took lessons from Kraus (but their control of high notes was totally different mechanical-wise)
