hey sorry to comment this on a completely diff video but for ur micro braid locs, my natural hair is around maybe 10-13 inches and i was really stuck on the method to use. i watched ur video and u mentioned the crochet method but ur hair was 2 inches so idk if that would be the best method for me as i’m afraid the extension will end up thicker than my actual braid. i was thinking of using the extension to feed it in maybe when ive braided around 3-4 inches and feed in that way or would it be best to crochet the extension when my hair is 3-4 inches braided down? or add it in the root? sorry if its super confusing, i plan on doing it in the next few weeks and really don’t want to mess it up 😅
@@bbygirl779 Hi, no worries! If I were in your position now, I would feed in the extensions. Feed in the extensions after you’ve braided about 3 or 4 inches of your own hair so that the extensions are just connected to the bottom half of your hair. If you want to braid your own hair further down than that, then make sure you start to feed in the extensions before your natural hair thins out. You can feed in small amounts as you go so you don’t add too much hair. I hope this helps!
@ thank you so much! you’re an angel, this has helped me so much ! one last question, well two, could adding the extension mid way (3-4 inches down) cause the hair to weigh down and potential hair loss and would u recommend interlocking straight after finishing the braid? i ask because i was watching another one of ur videos and u mentioned that the root started to unravel? thanks again! :)
@ It would depend on the size of your locs, but as a good rule of thumb, use as little extension hair as possible per loc. Also, whether or not you interlock after braiding your hair depends on how it feels at the root and how loose you started the braid. If the roots are loose, you can interlock. I think the braids that slipped out did so because I didn’t braid with enough tension when I added the extensions.

@@heyybritny thank you i was so worried about that 😂 would u have to follow the 2-4 rotation method interlock or it wouldn’t matter as much?
@ Haha hopefully you’re less worried now. 😅 You’ll need to do the 3 point pattern or the 4 point pattern.
