Few updates the Fenix Airbus has had an update so is not compatible and encryption of the default aircraft is apparently an error! So some good news in the third party addon front! If you have enjoyed this content don’t forget to subscribe for more Flight Sim, Train sim and real life content!
I'll stay with 2020 for the foreseeable future. Runs stable with no crashes. Even with a 9th generation I7 and RTX360 TI I can still run the 2020 on ultra settings.
I've been having a great time, some minor issues here and there, Crashed to dfesktop 2 or three times over the past few days. I couldn't play the first day, but after I've been enjoying the career mode. There is definetely some polish to be done though, but as I said, I've been really enjoying myslef. I suppose I've been lucky.
@@Drruuiipp glad to hear you have been enjoying the sim! When it works it’s great, it’s a shame about some of the graphic issues and some of the issues with sounds like in the Bonanza. Hopefully they get ironed out. It’s a good foundation but definitely needs some extra work.
I tried it but luckily I got a refund in time! Besides the login problems, when I was able to login I found lots of problems streaming, I like to always be exploring new locations, I was seeing lots of popup scenery, low bandwidth warnings (when I have a fast internet). Lots of bugs on the planes, the EFB also have many problems.
@@hugopnabais the low bandwidth was annoying, first night of the game trying to fly across New York, hoping to get a nice view. Just blurry textures and the buildings not loading in. Issue I have is both me and my brother play and we have others in the house all competing for the same bandwidth. Hopefully they allow at least some form of download in the future even if it’s just the base textures.
guess i'm one of the lucky ones. with the exception of the server issues on day 1 with planes missing from the edition i bought, it's been running fantastic. looks like they prioritized getting the foundation working for release so 2024 would actually release in 2024. annoying graphical bugs and ui tweaks probably took a backseat as nov 19th drew closer. i'm happy with my purchase and i know in a few months of polish, i'll be able to totally uninstall 2020. we will see but already, it runs so much smoother than 2020. i'm running 13900kf/4090/64gb ddr5 and still was disappointed with my frame rate at times on 2020. it has been running silky smooth on 2024, to the point where i'll deal with all the little aircraft visual bugs/graphical glitches to primarily play on 2024. future is bright, i have faith in asobo.
I’m sure the game will be great once it’s had time to settle. Think it could have done with a little longer in the oven. Hopefully more adding start become compatible soon. Know the Finix got an update last night for their Airbus.
@@franklindberg2035 if you have already invested heavily in MSFS2020 then definitely the best option. I believe as of last night Finix got an update which apparently makes it compatible. Then PMDG if you use their products have said it will be months before they can be used on the new sim. So I wouldn’t rush in, if you already have 2020 set up.
What issues have you encountered in VR? My main problem was the freezing/stuttering. That said I’ve not watched the video yet but VRflightsimguy? Think that’s the channel released some settings so hopefully will be able to give them a try and that improves it. If you fly in VR a lot worth checking him out.
@@simplsquam oh, the performance has been okay for me but it did take some tweaking to get it to run the way I wanted. Still struggles in the big aircraft at large airports when it’s having to render AI/Live players.
I’ve seen a lot of people say this about the online streaming method. Part of me thinks this was done with Consoles in mid with less space than PC players. I can see it changing to at least be partly downloaded in the future. Aircraft etc as a lot of people are against this method of delivery.
@@SimbytheMile Nothing to do with consoles. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 just dropped on Xbox and that's over 300GB for a full installation. They could have easily released FS2024 the same way as they did FS2020. I, however, think that it's been used as some sort of guinea pig for MS's cloud streaming systems. They've probably got ideas to bring out more games like this in the future, and this was the first push to see if the tech works... which it currently doesn't.

No reliable VR not for me yet.

On 2020 i could run high graphics but on 2024 i cannot even run low-end, plus a 50% FPS loss compared to 2020 :(

I think it's a terrible sim...
Yeah, I’m not blown away. There is a lot to work out but hopefully it gets better with time. It could have done with some more time in the oven.
