The opening alone made me cry. I don't know about you, but sometimes, very rarely, I hear something that sounds so beautiful, happy or sad, doesn't matter, that you just start tearing up and it feels like your heart will jump out of your chest. That was just how I felt during the opening of Ori, this game is truly special.
I've always wanted to play this game but my current PC sucks at running the game and I don't own an Xbox One so having this on the switch will finally give me a chance to play it. ;u;
releasing blind forest on switch is just straight up telling you to your face why we are still waiting for will of the wisps to come out, it's defo coming to switch, THE DREAM COME TRUE
Well I think its clear it will come out eventually...the way I see MS strategy with these smaller games like Cuphead and Ori is first to sell them like 2-3 years on their Xbox and PC and then bring them to Switch when they have gotten what they can from those platforms first. Some would argue against Microsoft strategy "why you are handing these games over to other platforms", but I would argue whats the point to keep them the platforms when/if everyone who had wanted to play the games on those platforms have played them already.....at that point its best to give them to the audience on platform like Switch who do not play on PC or Xbox.
Thank you folks for all these sweet comments! We all hope you'll have a great time with this port. We put a ton of work into it to ensure that it plays super well on Switch! Thanks to Nintendo and Microsoft for allowing us to make this happen :)

It doesnt work that way...Matt Booty from Xbox Studios said recently that smaller "indie" games are something that they would release on other platforms like Switch especially eventually, but all bigger triple A titles are still only gonna stay on Microsoft's own platforms. So likewise Nintendo is not gonna start releasing their triple A titles to other platforms either. Also important to note that not counting games like Outer Worlds and Wasteland 3 (both of which are made by now MS 1st party studios but were in development long before MS acquired them and are thus multiplatform titles) the only MS 1st party game that is out there on all platforms is Minecraft.... For example Cuphead developer never was owned by MS, MS only helped to fund the development of that game and as for Ori developer Moon Studios, they arent Microsoft's 1st party studio either, but 2nd party studio. So I hope that clears a bit where Microsoft's line goes/what games can you realisticly expect MS to release for Switch in future as well. Besides from Microsoft's point of view, the advantage here is that more people who would never play on PC or Xbox in the first place get now to get to experience these on Switch and that just gives them more sales/increases popularity of franchise like Ori.

Ori and the blind forest was an exclusive to Xbox and PC since it's obviously Microsoft. Considering that Ori and the blind Forest is now coming to switch there is a chance that Ori and the will-of-the-wisps could be on the switch as well. But they are two separate companies so there is also the chance that they won't do it as well.

@@stormlegend302 Microsoft's current mission with gaming is about "shared experiences". The fact that Halo, their biggest 1st Party IP, is coming to Steam should be a big tell in that. Plus, their current strategies, while non-standard for consoles, are working. MC is a big enough company that they can keep supporting/iterating on their consoles for the casual audience, while the more hardcore gamers can play in their own, preferred way. Besides, not every Xbox game will come to Switch. Ori's a good few years old by now, and since the sequel's gonna be on Xbox, it's basically just them advertising (Saying "Hey, you like this game? Well, the sequels on our machine"). Honestly not a bad strategy imo.

You know I just bought an Xbox One this past weekend specifically for this game because I'm going through a tough time and Ori holds a very special place in my heart, while I definitely don't regret my decision to get an Xbox one bit I think now that it's coming to Nintendo Switch I can die a happy man lol
This is one of my most wanted indie games. I'm so excited!
Wow you made it ! I really think the nintendo switch is a wonderful service to play Ori ! Hope the next opus will also come to the nintendo switch !
One of the best games ever. And no my mind can't be changed on that. Nothing screams ambience like this gem.
Confirmed 1080p 60fps. Day one buy. X box and Nintendo just make a console already
YAY!!! ANOTHER MICROSOFT GAME ON The Switch!!!
When you see nintendo & xbox logo in the same trailer
I still remember the moment the head of Moon Studios criticized Nintendo for not giving away the Switch‘s specs to Indie developers. Since that day, I knew Ori on Switch would happen one day!
This is a massive W right here. This will easily be in the top 5 switch games this year including non indie games as well
you're saying that like it's a brand new game xD
@@kentaIzzy it is for the switch tho i get it's been out for years on the Xbox one. But when it comes to being portable it's new imo
@@kentaIzzy also it will be a new experience for a lot of people who didn't have the opportunity to play it before.
Been wanting to play this game for the longest but didn't have an Xbox now is finally the time!!
One of the best games I’ve played. For anyone who haven’t played this on Xbox, please give this masterpiece a try!
Looking forward to playing the game just got it for the switch
AMIIBO ORI!!!!
Im really happy for all you Nintendo Switch owners to be able to play this absolute gem. The game is a timeless masterpiece, its stunning.
So, we've got Cuphead, Super Lucky's Tail, and now Ori. What do you think will come next from this?
Don't forget we have Minecraft to.
Rare Replay maybe
I mean, ReCore would be great but I'll keep dreaming.
Forza (?)
Kurenai-chan that never happen they need to port 5 Xbox 360 games For that collection and the size forma that collection will be huge
hopefully this gets a physical release on switch. i'm excited to finally be able to play this as i don't own a xbox just a switch and a ps4. it looks like a lot of fun.
I doubt it since it never got physical release in first place...but if there is enough consumers wanting that, maybe they could have some limited amount of physical copies on sale.
@@Balnazzardi it has a physical release on xbox one.
Hey Ma!
There is an Xbox logo in my Nintendo game!
I bearly know about the Ori franchise, but the music for this trailer is incredible.
Great job you two.
One of its developers is a huge metroid fan, he made AM2R
never heard of it but looks amazing
I'm so happy this is happening. Cause adore this game, its probably one of my favourite indie game ever. I dont have an Xbox and my laptop wouldn't be able to handle Will of the Wisps, but now that Blind Forrest is coming out on switch is basically confirmed that Ori 2 will as well next year
Dont count on it...MS just confirmed that no more 1st party games would come to other platforms...ofc Moon Studios is not 1st party developer for MS, but The game IS still published by MS so I would say dont get too confident about Ori 2 arriving on Switch
People in the comments: where smash bros I need shante in smash
Me: Yay an xbox exclusive game ori is finally on switch
I don't see anyone talking about Shantae in smash
@@blackwolfie1512 look at the live chat of the direct
All Nintendo chats: Smash
I also see nothing in the comments about Shantae in smash.
If you were in live chat you would see
Enjoy this game nintendo fans. This is a jewel!
Hoping to see any nintendo's exclusive soon, not like mario (which I wish that too) but other games that may work perfectly on xbox, who knows, splatoon2?
FINALLY. IT'S COMING TO SWITH ON... the same day... as Dragon quest 11... MY WALLET
Haha same
By far one of my favorite games I ever played
With the Switch getting games that were once Xbox excusives, it makes you think...
How does Sony feel after seeing this?
That the Switch will be a worthy opponent, something the X1 wasn't
@@rhapsodyoffire5801 Excuse me? I'm sorry but, xbox has BEEN an opponent of them ever since the 360 was around. They've been duking it out everywhere until xbox and nintendo came up with his alliance that shocked most of the gaming community.
Honestly, I'd argue Sony's probably still on its high-horse. It's made statements saying it considers the Xbox One its competitor, and that the Switch isn't even one.
Umm happy that MS is throwing away games? It means no one will but an Xbox and they would rather get a PS4 or a Switch?
YES! I'VE BEEN HOLDING HOPE FOR THIS!
Wow this is a very nice surprise
Not sure whats going on with the MS+Nintendo love lately, but i am living for it. Thank you, Microsoft and Nintendo
This game is so beautiful
Who else is crying by hearing the Soundtrack and by 0:13 😭?
This is the second best Metroidvania after Hollow Knight. And now both are on Switch. Nice.
For me Ori is better than Hollow Knight
I knew this would happen one day! I tried the demo at a Gamestop kiosk and I fell in love with the smooth gameplay and gorgeous visuals and now it's here on a console I really want.
Cuphead then this?! WOAH
This library is getting EXCELLENT (Smash,DOOM,Mario Odyssey,Monster Hunter greatest compilation edition, Tropical Freeze, Crash, Botw, Dragon Quest 11 definitive édition, my wallet...)
Don't forget Spyro in two weeks!
@@the_verTigO Astral Chain next week. Daemon X Machina 2 weeks after that. Link's Awakening a week after that. This and Dragon Quest XI a week after that. The Witcher 3 a few weeks after that....
This really teared me up in the most beautiful way possible. Such a perfect fit.
