I have a very nice new itero 5D but watching this thing do what it's made to do is making me jealous. This is such a headache to perform on the itero. I'm not sure I would need this often enough to justify a purchase but I would love to find an excuse to get one
If a patient is happy with their existing denture(s) then why start from scratch. This is a great technique. Wondering if it's possible to take a wash, inside the patients existing denture, before scanning, i.e a reline impression? Also, the existing upper and lower would offer up a predetermined centric and vertical ... great info if you can get it into the CAD program, yes?
Hi Cory, A question- using the software that comes with the Shining 3d scanner is it possible to (a) scan a partly dentate model THEN (b) scan the same model with a traditional waxup partial denture attached. Then "subtract" one from the other and be left with a stl file of the waxup ? My plan is to print as a monoblock denture and apply light cured resins to characterise.
Hi, I'm Shelby, I'm an assistant using our Doc's youtube account. We love your videos and this one specifically was SUPER helpful. However, there was a software update or something, and now the menu options are different, and we cannot figure out how to do the second step of the flip scan. After we scan the external, and flip the denture to scan the internal the "Scan" option is no longer available. Any tips for us? Thanks so much!!!
Thanks for posting this video Cory! I just sent you a PM on Dental Town asking about this. I found it after sending you the PM. Thanks again.
Awesome always wanted to do this to make custom trays and bite Reg in one visit without using the original denture to articulate

Great way to also make meshmixer denture with slightly modified workflow for temporary immediate dentures.

Hello Dr on the Shining 3D scanner. Do you have to set up a order in clinic mode or just scan and export to say 3shape or Exocad.
Hey Cory, very helpful video! What is the name of the tack material you use? Thanks I'm advance!
Hi Mr.N.Cory Glenn, would you please review the PioNext dental printer DJ89 ?
