Great video as always Sam. Would be interested to see a video about the number of fully professional teams and number of semi-professional teams there are in Scotland, and the breakdown by league going down the pyramid. And how it is for amateur teams playing against semi-pro teams or semi-pro vs. pro, and if teams that drop down tiers are able to stay pro or semi-pro or ever revert to being amateur.
Well in the SPFL all Premiership and most of the Championship teams are full-time professional, the others and some in League 1 will be hybrid and the rest part-time. Everyone else in the pyramid is part-time but with varying amounts of money being paid to players from the bigger Lowland, East and West clubs right down to the smaller clubs paying nothing or just expenses.
Another great vid Sam. Not so sure about the eye-wear at the end though 🤣 Another team who originated from a football Academy fairly recently are Caledonian Braves, who were "Edusport Academy" before they were promoted to the Lowland League. Think you actually did a video on them a while back, so you obviously know that already 😁
Should come to Bellshill Sam, a club who’s ground burned down and where they are now is incredible. I’m a coach n the academy and that’s growing from strength to strength
Nice 😅 So, four promotions so far 😊 Go Nairn county on Saturday if you can 😮 They win the north of Scottish cup against Ross county last weekend which made Ross County sack their manager 😅
Another great one Sam. It is great to see success stories like this one and also the dedication of people who just love the game.
Last time I was this early Aaron Mooy still had a fringe.
Going to Gartcairn on Saturday. Looking forward to it
The acadamy / club has clearly had some good investment to get it up and running. Looks like a cracking place to train and play.
Sam is a man of the people, who say "aye" and eat square sausage. 🤜🤛
"The light up toys" is an interesting way to describe giving pyros to kids
