I'm 35 and just got 3 IT certifications for a job I don't even have yet. Even if I don't find one, it was definitely worth it. It helps that my governor paid for it but I had to jump on the opportunity.

Being an impressionist is such a weird and confusing thing to learn, imagine your a worker at a restaurant, and the first time you talk to them, they speak fluent English, then you talk to them again, and they speak fluent spanish, in a russian accent, or they stsrt talking to you like kermit the frog, and now that person will never know what you actually sound like
(I can't tell you how many times this has happened since i do impressionism)

Yours and smosh reading reddit are the only reddit readers I know of, you should listen to theirs too they do good light hearted readings IMO.
I love this type of video, where the content is entertaining to watch regardless of the tingliness, so you can learn something or be entertained while experiencing ASMR!

This was really good. I like hearing your opinions on some of these shower thoughts. BTW your conspiracy theory about Avatar is interesting. I do think you're right though I also think there was a cultural impact. The thing is, a LOT happens in this 24/7/365 crazy world that something becomes super popular and in the public consciousness for a while then disappears only to pop up back in the public mindset 30-40 years later.

Regarding hearing your own voice: I’m still not free. I love singing and talking and acting but I HATE hearing my recordings and think others must hate my voice too! :(
Regarding emails - Google tried to get rid of them and replace them with an instant messaging service they called “Google Wave.” I actually really liked it and was sad when it was retired. But it didn’t catch on. Emails do date back to the same year as the Lavalamp, so they definitely are in need of a makeover!
Agreed on anxiety but chartreuse squishy helps to dispel the anxiety!!
Re: Star Wars, as a SW nerd, I don't find it a funny joke, but yeah, probably about species and the different appendages they have.
Re: Almost 30 - yeah, still making shite up at 35. Every time I think I'm on top of my shite or competent at my job, I discover deeper depths to grow into and feel humiliated at my lack of knowledge or mistakes I've made. But we fail upwards, right? There is no failure, only learning experiences. When it feels uncomfortable - like the hearing the own voice and hating it - that's a chance to learn and grow and become more free. It's a constant work in process!
And re: time - I think it also melds more into itself because we're constantly hustling as kids forced to study so so much.

Honestly, I (now in 40s) enjoyed my 30s WAY more than my 20s.
From 29, 30 seemed like I was getting O L D E R, but I looking back, I didn't feel much different through my 30s physically than I had in my 20s. I was just better at everything I was doing and had assembled a better group of people to spend my time with.
And *I* sure didn't have 1.x mil subscribers coming into 30.
(15:57 for context) Something I got rid of a YEARS AGO and wish I still I had was my Wii. I was a dumb kid and thought “WII U IS NEW, SO WII IS USELESS TRASH NOW” Might very well be the biggest whoopsie-daisy I’ve ever committed.

Honestly, I find Luna's voice very satisfactory, but also, from time to time, I find it similar to Emz from Brawl Stars.
Avatar complete changed how blockbuster movies are made. It is the Star Wars of the 2010s when it comes to impact on how blockbusters were made. It essentially is culturally important through other films. There is no infinity war or end game without Avatar

Eating the crust is not an adult thing. It just hurts to waste food. I grew up very poor and to this day I can't waste the tiniest bit of food. If my roommate throws something away that I still consider eatable, I'll fetch it out of the bin and if some of my food is overdue but not completely rotten, I'll just cut out the rotten parts and still eat the rest. And no, I don't get sick from it, I don't know why, but my stomach is able to tank that shit somehow.

the fourth? one. the elevator thing and if they weren't a thing and how their offices would be on the first floor is actually true! pre elevators, apartments still existed til ancient Roman times. the wealthy stayed on the bottom floor, and in Paris, France during the French Revolution, it was the same thing. Being on the first floor was a coass status and often times those that were on the top floor had it way way worse off.
It genuinely never occurred to me that some people see emailing your friends like sending a dang pigeon. Im 25 and still email friends casually. Guess ny son can call me Grandpa now.
