      It is very easy to find out if an artist is a genius - if after his death his paintings began to cost millions, then he is a genius. Sorry for the dark humor and thank you for your kind words.

    Inspiring and so like Van Gogh. Are you using stiff bristle brushes? I only have soft watercolor brushes that seem to blend too much.

    • @Alex_Teal
      @Alex_Teal  4 месяца назад

      Yes, unfortunately watercolor brushes are too soft for impasto and texture painting and are not suitable for oils. The only exception is if you strongly dissolve oil paints in the medium and paint with them like watercolors. In general, yes, you need bristle brushes for oils.

    Do you have a suggested kit of materials, paints, brushes to start with?

    • @Alex_Teal
      @Alex_Teal  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi, I don't really like to talk about what kind of painting kit "should" be, it's like a good chef - there is a knife for each product. You need to not only create your own kit, but also understand why it is like that. If you have the opportunity - try my course, I'm talking about the materials for the first half of the course, it's useful. Here www.alex-teal.us/
      I understand that this is a sudden offer and here is a -30% discount on the course: RELAX30. By the way, any enthusiast who reads this comment can use it, although the coupon has an expiration date. PS: Ok, in short: up to 8 colors of paint from one of my videos, 3 types of natural brushes - flat semi-round/round large, flat rectangular medium and small, gamsol, odorless white spirit or turpentine. Larger palette, thick canvas. Buy offline so you can physically touch it, trust your instinct.

    If you can speak with your real voice I think it would be more enjoyable to watch and listen to. The AI voice takes away from the experience of the video and art, it takes away the human aspect. If you are mute though then I totally understand why you use AI voice.

      @@Alex_Teal I think your audience would prefer it though over an AI voice especially in the arts. But it is up to you after all. I know it can be hard to put your voice out there for the first time. Keep up the great work! Your videos have helped be develop my style.
