    I’m mesmerized. Had to watch this video 4 times. I kept getting distracted by what tool you used, or or how you used it in a way I hadn’t thought of, or something about your bench that I hadn’t thought of. The music is perfect. No boring talk. Great lighting and editing. Great image composition. Great editing!
    You are a benchmark for how to make an instructional video.
    Very professional in every way!
    Thank you!

    Honestly, when I saw the thumbnail of this video, I didn't think I would like the modern ring design and method to set the stone. This is one of those moments when you do not judge a book by its cover. In the end, I thought the ring design was beautiful and the technique excellent. Not sure why you took as many passes with the setting bur as you did. Think it may be to level the seat. None the less, the ring turned out beautiful! Well done!

      Thank you. If the seat is made the right size, the right depth and even, setting the stone is easy.

      It's the grs bench mate! 😉 Quite pricy but it's very good! Comes with a dovetail bench mount that allow u to change to a ball vice set up too, but u buy each set up separately,, hope that helps u out!

    One more thing please, how did u attach the bezel to the flex shaft? This is a wonderful idea btw. I love it.

    • @lithohunter
      @lithohunter 6 лет назад +3

      I used a mandrel that is made for mounting a silicone wheel and I drilled the hole in the bezel to fit the size of the screw on the mandrel.

    Hi! Love your videos. I'm a new subscriber. Can u please list the burs you used. Much appriciated.

    • @lithohunter
      @lithohunter 6 лет назад +3

      Thanks for subscribing. After drilling I used a bud bur to enlarge the opening, then I used a stone setting bur to make the opening slightly smaller than the stone size and make the walls of the opening straight. I finished with a 45 degree bur to slightly under cut the seat in order to allow the stone to slip in. The 45 degree bur thinned the top of the seat. Making a proper seat is key to making the stone easy to set with the hammer and punch,

      Just one last question, somewhere you start using a bud bur. I've been surching around but I can't find any supplier that sells this kind, the bold one with the point and twisted cutters I mean.
      Do you ave an address for me where I can order these? Think I'm gonna use them for LOTS of things :-).
