It‘s hard to accept truth sometimes, my condition slipped into mild depression. For 1.5 years my days were mostly normal but muted as I’ve brushed away each time, and a few depressive episodes. Hearing this song, definitely hits differently to me. I’ve forgotten my own self-worth along the way and “my favourite part of me is you” made me realised of my own self-worth, values, quirks, happiness and everything that made me who I am again. I’m lucky to have my best friend supported me patiently throughout that I’m slowly getting back to track, meanwhile I AM the only one who really decides to get out from it. So for whoever that’s in similar situation, look in the mirror and tell yourself that “my favourite part is you”. We often mistook somebody else as our favourite part, so much that it consumed us and forgot about ourselves. We were the ones who went through all the pain and bruises. And in the end, we are still the one who have our own back to get back up each time. Tell me, aren’t you your own favourite part of you? You are worthy despite of everything that you’ve been through, though some times it’s harder to get back up, but I hope you find strength in finding a reason to smile again.
