I think they should just give kids MRE's for school lunches.. They look a lot better than our school lunches.

+jesse ruby It's a good idea cause it would be entertaining and educating, as well as probably motivating students to go to school too. But they definitely need to re-shape these MREs if it's aimed for kids. Ya know, give it more color and perhaps change the menu a bit to a healthier and less calories alternative.

9:12 Dood switched from beverage bag to FRH as fast as a video game character that can switch from firearm to sidearm.
I dont know if anyone has said anything yet...but you have some serious ASMR going with your voice, the sounds of the packaging and liquid, etc...its very relaxing.
Dopestarslove LOL, yeah, I kept finding myself nodding off 3 or 4 times during his vids, and, with my insomnia and sleep apnea, thats a definite BONUS!

Ive seen when I was younger my ex step dad was in the army and we lived on fort hood and we like ate these all the time but I was a lot younger and then I saw Emmy made in Japan try one and it totally clicked in my mind that we used to eat these and somehow I came across you and I'm so glad I did :)

I got a box of these things for 50 bucks. Came out to 2 dollars per pack. I don't understand why so many soldiers don't like them. I love these fuckin things.
Trollioli Where'd you get them so cheap? I've been looking for cheap priced comparables.
I got lucky and found a box of them at a local gun store. Just recently I picked up 3 and a half boxes of them for 5 dollars per MRE. Your best bet would be to ask friends or family that are in the military. Often times they bring a bunch of those MREs home and never eat them. You could probably pick them up for super cheap.
I picked up a box or MREs for a camping trip back in the 90s and they weren't bad (except the Omelet). My brother who had served in Desert Storm gave me tips on how to eat them and make the most of them. Glad to see they have improved the menus since then.

Cheese spread seems more fitting for this type of mre.

Those are combos. Most combos have a pretzel wrap around the cheese.

they could have included refried beans instead of the fruit and you could make a burrito.
Dan Hayami That would have been perfect. Refried beans, cheese spread with Jalapenos, delete the PB&J and replace with something like a muffin top (or any other dessert item really).
I think they should consider adding refried beans to their growing "spread" list, don't you?

@@testaccountm5866 MRE come with cheese, for some reason, this doesn't. This episode about Beef Shredded in BBQ Sauce has one... hell, it has beans even...
Mine did
I set aside some jalapeño cheese to eat with my beef taco and found that the combination was indeed meant to be. The addition of peanut butter/jam here is quite puzzling, though the latest version smartly includes hot sauce , omitting the spread and throwing in black beans and spiced pound cake for dessert. Really one of the more satisfying ones and even better with cheese.
Love your vids, i have this exact MRE right now, about to mix and match some other items with the taco and tortillas and have me a full cal breakfast

Mythical Helljumper Never tried one in my life. It looks really good though. I don't constipate easily, Its only ever happened to me once so I think I could handle it. I could understand that I would get tired of them though :)

The unit MRE tray taco filling was always one of my favorites when I was in the Marines. Actually it was almost everyone's favorites along with the buffalo chicken tray.(not to be confused with the individual MRE buffalo chicken, they are different)
I'm glad to see they finally made the taco filling into a individual MRE menu. I would have crushed the combos up and mixed them with the filling personally, but I'm sure them meal was great as is. Little tapatio salsa always made this meal pop too.
