      It's a great combination. I have several frame set ups and this is by far my favorite machine from a price-point.

    Hi Bonnie, I just got the Cutie tabletop frame and I’m planning on using my Jazz II sewing machine. Can I ask which top carriage you are using please, as I’m hoping to upgrade. This video was so helpful, thank-you.

      This is the Cutie Breeze and the upper carriage on the frame is the upper carriage that came with the frame.

    Very helpful information. Thanks. Where can the bridge (caddy) be purchased?

      The "bridge" is part of the upper carriage for the Cutie Breeze.

      Interesting information! I am new to quilting on a hoop. I just bought a Cutie. My current machine has a fairly small throat so I’ve been looking at the Jazz 2 but was discouraged that Grace didn’t have a stitch regulator… The other thing I was concerned about was the bulky front of the Jazz 2 and how well I could see the needle. You have introduced some creative and well thought solutions! Thank you! New subscriber. 😊

    Hi Bonnie...I found your video because I purchased the Grace speed controller for my Jazz II, which I have on a Cutie Frame, and was searching for some information on it.
    I set it all up and am having problems with my tension. When I set the knob on the controller to higher speeds, I get a bunch of eyelashes on the back of my quilt. Any suggestions please?

      I never used the Speed Controller on the Jazz II, but did on the Allegro. I do know that you cannot go all out on speed. This is not specific to these two machines. I also have to moderate speed on all of my long arms....
      Stitch length and speed tolerance is often very user specific. If you move too fast for the tolerance of the setup, you will get lashing.

      Thank you so much for getting back to me so soon. 😊. I guess I'll have to play with it and see if I can figure out the issue. Wish me luck 😂

    Hi, I have the original cutie frame and am looking to either get the Jazz II or Allegro to use with it for the larger throat space. I am planning to purchase the Grace Speed Control, but if I understand you correctly, does the Grace speed control not work with the Allegro since the machine overrides it? Would the Grace Speed Controller then be superfluous for the Allegro?

    • @quiltingonathread
      @quiltingonathread  3 месяца назад +1

      @@user-rt7zu4ei6p no...the Allegro doesn't really override the speed control...you just have to work to find the sweet spot with both devices.
      I have used both the Jazz II and the Allegro on the Cutie frames and I preferred the Jazz II. Fewer moving parts and so less frustration.
