    This reel is phenomenal. I have the 2021 Zillion with the hyperdrive gear and it’s my favorite reel. When Diawa passed down that technology to this Tatula 100 I had to get it. The new drive system is smooth as silk and lighter spool casts a mile. It’s a great reel for under $200.

      U will definitely want to watch my casting tutorial featuring this reel. It's the most unique tutorial on RUclips right now as everyone uses legacy method that doesn't teach you anything that allow you to understand a reel at all.
      My tutorial will show you a method on how to explore and understand your reels braking mechanics and so that you can find a casting setting that will fit your skill level. As you get better, you will be able to adjust it until you become a master caster with amazing thumbing skills!

      lol, magnetic braking casting reels gone a long way! They are pretty decent even for the old school magtrax style from Abu! Many lower end reels still use it and works great! But daiwa dynamic braking is off the charts! Enjoy the reel!

    • @rawrfishing

      Centrifugal is gonna be best for distance, but that will depend on thumbing skills. If I truly need that extra small percentage, I'd opt for a spinning so... All baitcasting here woot! I got one for the surf as I need to launch far and a few for guests.. But I use specifically all bait casting :)

    very nice. Been loving my old Tatula, she roped in my 17" PB spotted bay bass this year! The old tatula super easy to use, but I did just receive a shimano slx DC for the very first DC I"m ever going to try out...We shall see...

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  8 месяцев назад +1

      I got rid of my slx DC. Was not a fan. I hate how Shimano offer their old legacy DC modules for their entry level reels and then give the best for their higher end reel. It really is night and day how a high end DC reel operates and get setup VS the cheap slx version. I sold my slx DC so fast and never looked back!

    I just bought DAIWA 22 TATULA TW 80H for casting 7-20g. My friend has been using the same reel(size 100) for casting very heavy pike lures for over a year, that's the argument for me.
    .

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  8 месяцев назад

      The 80 reel is smaller and can handle lures lighter than the predecessor Tatula 100 I believe. But it will be pretty easy to cast 7g lures I bet given this spool is lighter than the predecessor!

    Jimbo, thanks for directing me to the Loongze reel. I just got it today and on first impression I am very impressed. it is just as easy to palm as the conquest, it feels lighter and it has a lot more room on the spool to clear a backlash. if it cast as good as the aldabaren, this could be one of my best buy this year. btw, have you been able to play around with their DC BFS reel?

    Is it good for 5gm lures? Could u compare with sv 103

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  4 месяца назад

      The SV tw 103 will do 5 g if spooled around the half way mark easily. Not sure if this reel can. Struggled a bit on 7.5 gram with max spool of 12 lb mono. Probably could do 7.5 g better with braid, less line and a lighter rod, but I have no intent for this reel as it's not designed for that.

    Does yours make a rubbing noise when turning the handle 360 degrees? I think I may have gotten one with poor QC from the factory. I don't think it's RMA-able just bit of nuisance as I can feel and hear it when turning the handle to a certain point. I tried taking the spool out and putting it back in but seems to be something in the new hyperdrive causing it.
