Never heard this version before. Knew the "Rit 2" recording but this is very different and beautiful. How come you never hear flute solos in pop music? Why doesn't everyone know who Eric Tagg is and how musical he is?
The other version was of Lee Ritenour. But I think the singer is still Eric Tagg, and guitar by Ritenour. They have different intro but they have the same chorus. And the thought of the song is also similar. I love both version if Dreamealkin.

For some reason, I prefer this version to the original Lee Ritenour one (which is saying a lot since I love the original). I quite agree that this version seems more soulful. I love the flute parts. Sublime!

I hear Lee Ritenour's guitar in the background. this version is sadder than the Rit2 version. Since Eric Tagg lost his wife last year, I imagine it takes on a different meaning for him than it did when it was new decades ago.
I missed 92.3 Joey, and Crossover 105.1 these are the radio stations that habitually play this song and these are the stations in manila that introduced me to Jazz music.
Ohhhh nice! 105.1 The Crossover is still up and their song selections are nice. I like the current song that they are playing, which is by Norwegian band D'Sound!

This is the original, but it also was produced by Lee Ritenour, written by Kelly McNulty and I. Lee's own version changed the verses, kept the chorus.
