to be sure its a hdd failure you need to try an other hdd "reader" or even plug it into a desktop computer...
It is head sticked on platter. I done unstick the heads and hard drive back to normal. Immediathly transfer all data to good new hard drive.

is the hardisk dead? my maxtor 1T has this sound before died . Never buy seagate again!
Not really dead. It is only head stuck on platter. With a little effort will back to work again.

@@aphroditeschild5980 the soind similar like in video? Seagate 4Tb external having 10heads and 5platters that complecated ever.If head stick on platter... it is nightmare
@@akanghadibatam7285 sometimes can hear inside engine metal scratching.The video sound seems to be power supply low
