Nice video, but the bucket will not stop raccoons or rat snakes. You may get an intital fledge, but once a predator discovers your setup, it will return for every nesting for years to come. Swinging 5-feet long, 8-inch diameter HVAC will give you 100% protection.
They are so cute. Just a question does the wood burner thing make noise when you use it?
Mine doesn’t rather than just the noise of the wood brining but it’s really quiet

Status update?
It looks like they’re nesting in the bird box with the bird bath and beyond store next door so sadly we don’t have a camera inside of that one BUT if we get more shots of them leaving or hopefully of the babies leaving eventually I’ll post them 💖

Nooooo! Putting g a platform feeder is going to attract larger birds and predators. And don’t they can jump right into that nestbox. Also, blues dont tend to feed dried mealworms to babies because they need hydration from live insects.
