Back in 1998 when I was between gig's from CFRB to 680 newsradio, I funded,produced and hosted a series of television pilots out of frustration that none of the Canadian television networks were investing or found programming value in the kind of one on one interview show that I had been hosting on CFRB for many years. I pitched the entrepreneurial project to CBC, Global and T.V Ontario but there were no takers. Things have changed of course. Peter Mansbridge goes one on one at CBC, so does Strombo on " The hour ".Bold T.V streams Jian Ghomeshi's stellar interviews from Q and Allan Greg talks to a wide range of people in long-form on T.V Ontario. You Tube didn't exist back then, nor did I- pads or apps - so we by pass the Networks now to upload these segments for a world wide audience including you to enjoy. Canadian Tenor John McDermott who's career I helped fuel through radio interviews in the early 90's generously agreed to appear for a chat and performance in this pilot segment. I encourage you to watch long enough to see and hear him perform ( in my view), the sweetest rendition of " Danny Boy " you will ever hear - a cappella, while sitting - not standing ! - enjoy

Mr Stall, thank you so much for posting your show. Can't believe none of the networks in Canada would broadcast this. I hope they are kicking themselves now that John is a legend up north. : ) It's so nice to see the YOUNG John McDee although he still claims that honor : ) Thank you again. John owns Danny Boy!
