it wasn’t the dad’s fault that the blind kid died. it was the mom. here’s the confusing part, david’s mom is the blind kid’s mother also. so pretty much david and the blind kid are brothers. the mom made the dad kill the blind kid. later, the dad died from the blind kid ripping his vocal chords and tearing him. the mom had another son which was david. when david got off the bed, the blind kid got him, but he was trying to go after the mom. he thinks david is the mom.
