No I do not....if you like mountains this video of I-70 in Colorado is as good as it gets, 11,158 feet up at the highest point. ruclips.net/video/qDgu9Bw3-QA/видео.html
Very interesting roadwork engeneering. The Intersections of TN-111 on Walden Ridge were rebuilt around 2003. And on Google Earth (with timescale) you can find the answer for your question: 3 lanes in your direction because this was the pre-2003 2+1 Layout of the road. The other direction 2 lane road was built north of it.
We go this route every time we go to and from Nashville. We catch Hwy 111 in Soddy Daisy from US 27 South and take Hwy 111 all the way to Cookeville then catch I-40 West to Nashville. Then vice versa from Nashville to our house. A lot less headache than taking I-24.
You're welcome, I did it because not many people would know about this route, unlike a major Interstate, BUT I may use the map more often just the same.
We had been going to and from Nashville a lot since 2012 however we didn’t realize we could take the Highway 111 route until 2019. Until then we’d always taken US-27 South to I-24 West then vice versa. Highway 111 is only about 10 minutes from our house so not only did we continuously deal with the headache of going I-24, we went quite a bit out of the way. I don’t know who told my brother about Highway 111 but we’re so glad they did 😀. Your videos are awesome!! Thank you for taking us all along in your travels 😀.
@Freewayjim Is it dangeous when the speed limit is that fast without any Separation to the opposin lanes? Are all Rural highways like that:with high speed limit, and no real separation escept the yellow line
Thanks for sharing your travels!
Thanks, yes I do enjoy scenic drives and areas like that.
I'd HIGHLY recommend it if you can work it in, well worth the excursion, which isn't really that bad. I have northbound as well.
you have any idea what the elevation change was and what elevation you were at on top of the ridge? I love mountains..

I use to drive that road every day. Only about 15 minutes from my house :)
Thanks for the info!
Thanks, I try not to film in the rain, it usually doesn't play too well but this turned out OK.

Wow, just like your last one... this is VERY similar looking to NS/TCH 104. Great video. Music went perfectly too.
Thanks!
Thanks! Very similar, yeah, same road, opposite direction :)
Thank you ;)

@@jgriff22 Thank you very much, I may try that route to or from Nashville someday if the traffic on I-24 looks hopeless.
@@Freewayjim You’re welcome. The worst traffic we run into is between the I-24 splits in Nashville. Smooth sailing otherwise.
@Jean1juan Not all rural highways, this is a very sparsely populated area in particular.
Do you drive the passing lane a lot for the filming or is that how you drive?
Are there signs denoting the time zones?
You could not catch a break with that rain! I gotta check it out!
Man Your Videos are on point...I know you live in the burbs of Atlanta but, Do you work or have relatives out in this area?
Surprisingly no but according to maps the time change is at the county line., there are signs for that sort of thing on the Interstates however.

On why there are three lanes, maybe Southbound is better for leaf-peeping?
Thanks,
Your guess is as good as mine.
Nice choice of music. *****
@7366DIESEL -No, I've never been out that way.
It's Backvalley Rd.
Thanks!
Well somebody gave me less than 5*, at least I know it wasn't you :)
Little bit of both, I try to stay in the clearest area possible while filming.
No, we were just out joy-riding, thanks!
LOL, no, even out in remote areas bad drivers are everywhere.
