How can I have the whole checkout process with tax calculation on a modal window for my business application? It always takes me to a new checkout page where I am able to enter billing info and view the taxes and pay and redirects me back to my application?
Hey there-unfortunately, Checkout requires the redirect flow and doesn't support being displayed in a modal window/. If you want to use something like Checkout with a modal, you'd want to check out Stripe Elements, though to use Tax with PaymentIntents (required for Elements) you'll want to sign up for the orders-beta at the bottom of this page: stripe.com/docs/tax.
I want to use customer address instead of colllecting address during check out when the item line have tax. You can show me how can i hide billing address by api
Would it make a difference when the checkout session is a custom Checkout and not using the Stripe pre-built Checkout? I tried this by following the instructions in the docs and checked if this ould reflect in my Woocomerce checkout. But it didnt. Should I contact woocmmerce about this?

Hi there, we integrated Stripe Tax for our marketplace platform and making calls for Tax through API. In "All Transactions", I see a row for "Tax API Transaction" and a row for "Tax API Calculation". For Tax API Transaction, that was easy to account for. Basically number of transactions x C$0.50. For Tax API Calculation, though, I am unable to figure out why we got charged the amount we did. Everything online says it should be .5% of the amount but yet when I do the math, it doesn't add up. I've contacted Stripe support 3 times and everytime it ends up being, "We'll have to look into this and we'll contact you further via email". Can somebody explain this? For my specific example, the daily total was $170.96 (before taxes). If I got charged .5% for using Stripe Tax, then I should get a charge of C$0.86. But yet I got charged C$1.00 for "Tax API Calculation". The difference is small but I need to be able to account for this charge so as we scale up, I know exactly what is the formula and what are our expenses. Please help as Stripe Support haven't been able to help with this. thanks

Hey there-you can adjust VAT exclusions by setting the tax rate to "exempt" or"reverse". That will prevent tax from being calculated on the invoice. You can find more info about that here: stripe.com/docs/billing/taxes/tax-rates. You can also set a "no_vat" parameter for tax IDs using the steps here: stripe.com/docs/tax/checkout/tax-ids. Hi there-are you referring to the Tax ID for your customers? You can see a customer’s tax IDs in the header of invoice and credit note PDFs. Does this API work on vs studio code? I haven't registered my site yet with a domain yet. I just using the live server that's on vs. should I register my site with a domain before adding the cart tax or will it work with live server?

As long as you're selling physical trading cards, they would fall under the Tangible Goods category. You can get a full list of Tax Categories with descriptions of each here: stripe.com/docs/tax/tax-categories.

tax is showing in your vedio but why total amount is not changing. means why tax is not adding in total amount. I am facing same problem

If you are using Stripe connect, with sellers having standard accounts and direct charges, does each seller need to use stripe tax as well?
