That fuel water sseparator could easily be made into a "fuel polishing" system by adding a standalone fuel pump and some extra tubing, plus it'd also be a fuel transfer setup for if you think some fuel cans in the shed got water contamination
I just bought my first boat 88 ranger 393v with a 87 Johnson V6 150 2 stroke (took the vro off) was thinking about getting a separator living here in humid Florida. I use stabil but I just want to make sure I protect my investment as best I can. What are your thoughts? Watching your video im sure i already answered my question. I have a selector valve so ill just have to route from the selector to the water filter back out tonthe original ball inlet.
Is your fuel pre mixed? Or do you have an oiler on your motor? Just curious if I will be fine running pre mixed gas through the filter and then into the motor.
I see that this is a fiberglass boat, what did you use to mount? Did you drill a pilot hile with a drill bit then use a slightly bigger screw to mount?
Pretty easy install with a ton of benefits. Really with with the Fuel Water Separator (amzn.to/46FxxVV) - Have not had any issues!

Or if the tank has water and dirt in the bottom

It can only help, esp with high humidity. I would say its most important in a humid environment.
@@mvboutdoors thanks for the reply. I have been researching them and reviews seem mixed as alot say the canisters cause or leak. 🤷

There is an oiler on the motor with an oil reservoir on the boat. Premix is find because the oil mixes with the gas unlike water.

5:31 -- That is correct, that is exactly what I did.
@@mvboutdoors what size drill bit and screw did you use, do u remember
@@stevestewart3816 Sorry I don't remember exact sizes. I just eyeballed a drill bill that was slightly smaller than the screws I had on hand.
awesome
