  • Ice fishing with flutter spoons is one of the of the best ways to score big Walleye. They allow you to fish them in so many different ways, whether it is aggressive or very subtle pounding on the spot.

    As much as I love livescope I miss these clayton days, clayton is the reason why I am the angler I am today I literally copied his electronics and gear and man.... oh man... legit, got my helix 3gn a few years back then got live scope 2 years ago. Thanks Clay for being a such knowledge. I go back to these older videos and remember my start up days

    Those Northland buckshot Spoons are killer! They are fantastic when the light goes down and you need a little glow.

    • @mustangcarpenter
      @mustangcarpenter 5 лет назад +1

      Small northland buckshot tipped with shrimp tail is my go-to crappie bait. I buy a shrimp ring, cut the tails off to leave some meat in them and eat the rest. I freeze all the tails in a small container and bring that out fishing. They seem to like my leftovers lol.

    I am so jealous of the clear ice you guys get in the prairies. NW Ontario is a snow belt and more sheltered from the wind. We get deep snow and slush all over, clear ice is extremely rare and lasts a day or two before snow covers it up. Like always thanks for the entertainment!

      Like what Brandon said, I use the split screen for the viewers mostly, because it is about a split of what people want to see.

    Can someone please respond back. As i am watching the ice fishing videos from clayton, I am wondering when the green image from the fish meets the green image of the lure, do you set the hook? or do you actually feel a bite before you set the hook/ Thank you

    Another great vid.... I only own 1 dinner bell and did not give it a fair chance last season. Mostly went with the slender spoon. Will need to re-visit this spoon type this season. Do you find them more effective with a small amount of bait? As you mentioned it seems the “flutter”
    part is greatly reduced with a weight in the hook????
    Thanks for another very informative vid.

      I find if they are aggressive it is better without the bait, but I have had great success on it so far with bait :)

    You keep your videos consistently great, but did you keep the cisco for bait?
