Great conversion! A real solution for me because I have five macadamia trees producing hundreds of kilos of nuts yearly. I also have an old meat mincer! Now I can get cracking. Thanks!
Hello, is it important that the parts are magnetic? In case i dont find this specific model, can you tell the distances in cm - where to cut the whole? Thanks you a lot!
@@dominikkalb3378 Yes, it is important. It should be cast iron and a large model. Take the small one of Your nuts in a meat grinder, when it cracks, after 10mm You can saw a hole.
If you had just taken the blade and mincing plate out but not cut the hole in the body of the grinder would they not have cracked and continued along the spiral part to drop out the end? Just wondering if you tried that first and it didn't work?
@@leonschoice3283 Thanks for responding. I've got a load of cobnuts to shell which will then be crushed anyway so I may just give it a go and see how easy it is to get the shell bits out before I destroy my mincer. 🙂
The pecan is not round, so it will break up a lot. Since pecan is not hard, it is well cracks with ordinary nutcrackers. Maybe in future I”ll try exsperimenting with pecans.

It works, but the nuts are very crushed.

Excellent,
Can adjust the number of washers if nut is a bit small and just falling through.
Nice 👍 invention.
Very cool. Have you tried hazelnuts?
Yes, this is the best way for hazelnuts.
Please tell me how this performs with pecans...Thanks..
