Good morning everyone happy Monday ✨🪴 so today is install day of the patio pavers and our walkway Also, we got a new pergola for our outdoor living space and we gonna do some spring decor and furniture shopping. Hope you guys all enjoy, and let me know what you guys think about how a patio turned out and what should we do about these windows on the garage?😂❤
Bord the outside of the windows and trim it out or something. That space by the garage, a small flower bed with solar lights and flowers.
Everything is coming along so beautiful. Everything that you create in your space is a process. Take your time and do what suits you. It's definitely going to be BOMB when it's finished. 🥰😍
Hey Emonie, for the area on your right side. Because this area might be a pain to mow, I would suggest you remove the grass, get an extra large vase (in your neutral color) and fill vase with flowers or a type of grass or both and place in the middle of the area. Put down weed protector and then mulch. I would suggest black mulch. I love what you are doing. Beautiful space!
You can try small shutters to cover up the windows on the garage.
To put grass there, just buy a few squares from Lowe’s or Home Depot and plant them and water the grass it will cover that area. It’s going to be very pretty, you can use monkey grass which is low maintenance, you can get it with beautiful flowers in some. I love your backyard and you can really make it into a beautiful outdoor space.
The bird feeder is gorgeous. But think about it, if you're feeding the birds, you will have bird poop all over your yard that you are working hard to create
The seeds are attractive to rodents as well.
Nice! I am so glad that you decided to hire that out👍. It's coming along beautifully & I can see your excitement. Girl, anchor that pergola to the concrete despite them saying that it can go into the ground (been there done that too) one strong wind & you can go find that thang down at the corner. SUGGESTION: Don't power wash your patio until the polymeric sand has cured & sealed the pavers & maybe not even after that. A pressure washer is too strong & will force the polymeric sand out of the seams and your pavers will begin to seperate. Polymeric sand is a mixture of sand and a cement designed to seal pavers together. Your workers will/should spray the patio with a water hose to seal the polymeric sand. Idea: your garage windows can become an art back drop cover them with 1 rectangular or 2 seperate pieces of wood & maybe paint an abstract design on it.
Hello Emonie, it's a whole vibe!!!!🌻🌺🌷🌴 As far as the windows on the garage, you can cover them with plywood painted to match the garage and then hang some outdoor pictures that have beautiful relaxing scenes or even hanging lanterns, flower pots etc. I can't wait to see it finished. Love it! 💓💓

😊Add shutters that stay close over the windows on the garage wall
Once again everything looks amazing!!! An idea for the patio is a faux or real plant wall as a backdrop. Either directly onto the side of the garage using the beautiful aged windows as lovely accents (make them blend like an old English cottage or build your own wall in from of the windows. Or tall agave trees or some tall accent trees that line that whole side of the patio…..Love what is happening here!! ❤
Hi Emonie - I think the backyard is really coming together. I wanted to mention that you should be careful about leveling the yard. The 'hump' helps to run water away from your foundation. If you level it too much, you are going to have major issues with water settling around your foundation.

You can get saint Augustine grass seeds and put them in the areas were the dirt is and any sparse areas. Once you put them just water them a lot. It looks like your grass is is saint Augustine. It's a beautiful grass that will spread. I think monkey grass bushes up near the path were it's not level will hide tht. would be beautiful. We just bought our 2 and home and I'm about to start on yard projects. We HV to do a patio too so this video was right in time. Love how yours turned out.

Everything is coming together beautifully . I see you took my advice on the sponsors, You work so hard you deserve saving money as much as possible. The patio & walkway look great lining the walk way with lights will be great , Getting some solar lights for the pergular great night time vibe. The high and low ground can be your choice you'd need top soil and grass seed to balance things off either you lower it or raise it to match , also beside the rocks top soil can be added to fill in with grass seeds , Watering your grass makes it greener. Your area where your pergular is temporary , You can make a conversation area with a fire pit in the center placing 4 or 8 comfortable chairs. facing at north , south , east and west of each other will provide more seating and a completed vibe . On each side of your porch I can vision a dinning area on one side and a barbecue on the other side with pavements or concrete ,Get in touch with sponsors you deserve it. A temporary cover up for your windows can be a diy with a canvas to cover the window , some water proof fabric , a stapler gun placing it over the canvas and finding some dollar tree decor that can be stapled or glued to the canvas or just some fabric will be suffice or a piece of wood cut to cover the window paint it black and get one of those plastic red cups or other circles in differents sizes some summer color paint dip the rims in paint and make your own design just a thought . The shady area behind the garage can take some shade loving hosta plants that will come back every year , Measuring the area to ensure to get the right amount of plants . Research your plants that you can have returned every year plants for shade and plants for sun or ones who can survive in both. Your annuals give color all summer easy growers are petunias , marigoles, geraniums , impatiens , dusty millers are starters using miracle gro potting soil for pots , Pots dry out easy in heated weather more watering is needed than ones in the earth . Maybe to start off you can use box or rectangler style pots in front of your fences can be found at dollar stores lined the same way you have your fake white flowers going to get a start and familarity for this year and plant by height and width on the ones to come back yearly. God's willing cant wait to see your vision become a reality.Your front yard is a show of Spring flowers something else will need to replace it if the former owner have'nt planted anything to come up for the summer. Your back porch is not your color a complimenting gray on the porch and over head canopy to match the pergola .

Flower's look so pretty , your outdoor is coming together . A suggestion for windows shutters that cover the windows might work .
It is likely that the grass is higher on the right side because you always want water to slope away from the house. If you level it completely, depending on how much rain you get, you could face drainage issues such as dampness around the side of the house which could cause mold later. It's just a thought. I'd get the opinion from someone with more knowledge about this before attempting to level the ground. It's such a small spot so it's not that bad. If i were you, I would shave a little of that grass and remove a little soil by the path and call it a day. It looks great in my opinion. I would put a nice little plant bed there...maybe a shrub, maybe even a trellis with a nice vine on it, and a few perrenial plants. Around the fence, maybe some evergreen trees as a background with smaller plants in front of them. Space some small trees or shrubs out and they will grow very nicely for a great backdrop.
Love the transformation....I have a few suggestions is to keep the framing of the windows but remove the glass and replace with wood. The pergola looks good in the back and add a 2nd pergola and you will have coverage for both areas when you are not using the firepit and have extra seating.

Hey girl. Get a flower hanger that goes in the ground and hang the bird feeder on it. Do not hang by the garage or patio. You will have bird poop on EVERYTHING. Be ready for the Squirrel too.
It's looking good sis. I think plants on both sides would look good. The wooden raised garden beds would look good also. Plant you some good old fruits and vegetables.

For the dirt patches in your grass just turn over the dirt & plant some grass seed. That is what I did instead of planting new sod. It is starting to come up perfect already.

For the landscape, start purchasing flowering shrubs alone the fence line. There are so many possibility. You ask what you should do to the windows. Home Depot and Lowe’s has plastic decorative

Grass along the fence line is just more work to maintain, i.e. trimming. *Consider mulch and plant a few tall skinny evergreens (they grow up to 10ft or so) along the fence line for privacy

Looks great. The tall planters are the way to go. You can group a set of three different sizes together. Ferns look great in the tall ones. The coco liners are for hanging baskets. Make sure if you get the tall planters you add cut up pool noodles do you don’t use as much soil in them. Lighting is very necessary. You can incorporate real and fake plants in your outdoor, I do it all the time. Have fun and enjoy..❤

The yard is really coming together! I'm going to be renovating my backyard also but it's going to cost a pretty penny. My input would be that the grass that's higher on the right, just make sure however you level it, the runoff from rain and water will flow AWAY from your house and garage ❤

Looking good. What did they do with the grass that they pulled up. It could've been used to fill in the areas near your fence where there is dirt and any other weak grassy areas in your yard. Good grass is valuable, if watered correctly, it takes root quickly. Are you planning to have an outdoor kitchen? You may want to consider using the spaces on either side of your paver walkway for that. Can't wait until it is complete.

Emonie I just saw when watching a YT that mulch attracts termites and that can eat away at your home if it is wood frame. You can replace the mulch with rocks.

I will take out those plywood from the windows that makes it look horrible, and I would put some kind of a shade or shutter you like that plus it would be nice if you’re in the garage doing something and you wanna open it for the light. But everything else looks beautiful.
Either put so grass seed or lay so sod in the patch areas. I have to lay sod last year where I had a tree cut down and it grew very fast and thick
Take the window frames off and put more siding
Or put white plantation shutters over the outside of the windows
They're not expensive if you buy them unfinished and paint them yourself.
They're easy to install
