Love the BOSS engines. I don't care what anyone says about them coz they always put a smile on my face. Fast I6 is cool but a throaty V8 is always gonna bring a bigger smile.
As an American, it breaks my heart to hear how Holden and Ford and Chrysler over there are gone ... the US is about to go thru something similar it seems with the big 3 here... different reasons perhaps but similar outcomes unfortunatly.
The FPV's were killed off because they were top of the line, no expenses spared, Ford quality vehicles, unfortunately many previous Falcon owners just didn't have the spare cash at the time (around 2016 I think) and traded theirs in for the less expensive SUV or whatever, I bought a 2010 GT around that time, mind you I did trade the Wife in so I certainly had plenty of spare cash laying around.
Wish we had cars like the FPVs or Holden cars here in the USA. GM tried but they never caught on probably because they were not marketed well. Anyway, GM and Chrysler brands here are killing off all v8 passenger cars with the excception of GM's Corvette and GM Trucks(utes). Ford only has the Mustang. No more 5.7 or 392, Hellcat cars or SS or ZL1 Camaros. I really wish Ford would have imported their V8 Falcons here to the states and GM would have marketed their cars better here. Folks that have the rebranded Holdens here love them now, now that we know what they are. Lol
I have a 2010 boss 290 as my daily with 215,000klms. Still no issues. A window actuator and front shocks is my repairs to it.. Incredibly reliable machine.
Mines done 245 and just pulled it down for a perf rebuild. Just keep an eye on the chain guides as they eventually crack at the bolts. Doing guides isn't that bad but it will save you some pain later. The mains, rod bearings & all journals were amazing.

Is the exhaust mild steel or stainless steel. They look good dropped really low. I had a Barra and I love how much power they can get out of them. But an V8 sounds better

Weekend toy FG GS Miami supercharged/ZF/mods Mid week/Friday toy BA XR8 Boss 260/BTR/basic mods Daily drive BA LTD 220kw 3V/BTR/exhaust 5.0L Coyote/Miami - destroys both 5.4 modular engines in every driving aspect. 5.4L Boss modular quad cam - sounds best, in the 4k rpm range its a beautiful noise, great for highway cruises, its a true driver engine if you use it on long roads, and highway driving, effortless overtaking power... At the sacrifice of downlow off the traffic lights take off... 3V 5.4L modular quad cam - awesome downlow torque, not as raspy or aggressive sounding as the 4V, really good drivability (never driven a ZF backed 3V but i think that would be an ultimate combination for a quick daily drive) Soundtrack fun = Boss 4V modular V8 Speed/power = Miami supercharged V8 Streetability fun = 3V modular V8

Yeah that’s a nice car. Looks and sounds amazing but if it was a manual I’d imagine that’s where you’d be able to get the absolute maximum enjoyment out of it.
Correct mate I actually have to run 15mm spacers on front for the work meisters to clear my brembos by 2mm 😅 that’s the reason why I had to then camber the front to -4.5°
The boss engine cops a lot of unjustified criticism. They can make big power NA or blown. Like any engine they have a few weaknesses that need addressing but once they are they're bulletproof.
Honestly my best buy is my 290 6sp manual Ute can’t let her go but it’s a true shame Australia isn’t making real cars anymore gorgeous weapons boss’s and barra’s entech’s LS’s L607’s etc sad time for us aussies
@@nemesis_zl1180 I have exactly the gt in this video but in blue. The barra is around 170kw without turbo and the coyote struggled to 300kw in the mustang. There are differences but an exact comparison is difficult. The Miami was only used due to the 5.4 not able to pass new emission regs. It was lighter with an alloy block and slightly lower in the chassis. It wasn’t used because it was more powerful. The 5.4 can pump out easily as much power as the Miami. It has all the same internal changes as the Miami but bigger and stronger iron block.
I’ve driven all of them, I used to own one.. it’s a great engine but it’s a slug unless you got a lot of money.. that’s it tho.. sounds epic and can make power if you got the dollars.. LS & Barra are just cheaper to make power
My mate has a cammed boss and he’s walked Miami falcons cammed LS3’s and Barra turbo falcons , he’s done 11.8 down the strip with manual trans, most people that hang shit often don’t have a clue
nice wheels, the owner has done awesome with the combo. Ive been looking at some for my xr6t b series but there all crazy expensive ! Ha love also the fact your driving around VIVA, i do the same thing here in Victoria =D

Those Work wheels suit it amazingly. Much much better than Simmonds wheeels which seem to be on nearly every Commodore/Falcon.

boss's coyotes and gen 3 coyote' all have different firing orders

Yes mate, 1/78 pacemaker extractors into 100 cel pacemaker cats. 3” exhaust from the cats back. twin middle muffler added and rear mufflers deleted.
