My 130 estate now has 209,000 on it, bought for £520 seven years ago with 102, 000....had injector fault, ....got a set of injectors for £75( e bay ) replaced faulty one got 3 spare😊.. car has been on 3 western europe trips all of 3,000 miles +taking in fra nce, belgium, germany, holland, switzerland. Italy, andorra, spain....(not all on same trip!!) Re your "slow" auto change....the gearbox is a "learning" box....if you boot it from start up, it will change quicker....if you drive like a granny for a few miles it will adopt for smoother changes....its in the handbook....i had a v5 golf with the autobox , was fun doing andorra mountain roads, loads of s bends and hairpin bends with ridiculous gradients...enjoy your estate
About to pick one up too, same color and all. Wanted the PD130 in either an A4 or Passat, then this showed up in great condition for cheap. Looks incredibly boring.. will have to do something about that and tune it for even lower mpg and close to 200hp. Might document it. Never saw myself owning a Mk4
With the absolute greatest of respect I don’t know what your moaning about 😂 It’s a 23 year old golf estate that’s been owned by an old couple ! The bodywork looks very tidy and not covered in dings and dents and scrapes from car parks ! The headlight is annoying agreed but after owning many mk4s over the years I can confirm the headlinings sag on most of them ! You got a good car there !
