Is it odd that I keep coming back to this to read people's comments about me, old and new? It genuinely just makes me happy that even though I erased myself from the story, _you,_ the players never forgot about me. Whether you loved or hated me in my story arc... you all never forgot.
Ash's saga has been one of the most enjoyable in KoF, and is one of the most unique fighting game characters, especially during it's time when he debuted imo. Ash played VERY well as a troll/trickster, and even his appearance helps fit that role well since people underestimate him or just easily hate him for being overly effeminate since despite being the main character of the saga, he's not the usual (and imo heavily overdone) badass, suave, stoic, or muscular person. He is very different, very interesting, he kept the series fun by playing with or pissing people off, and overall very enjoyable in my eyes.
Ash is one of those characters you will either really enjoy or really hate. Most hate him for foolish reasons, others hate him for understandable reasons. He tricks people and screws them over. You could very well say he is the Loki of fighting games. Personally, I enjoy him because he's never boring. All the other protagonists across fighting games are too morally good. Ash on the other hand is willing to be just as ruthless as any villain to get his way, and he's better because of it.
Others hate him because they can have their own opinion too. I don't like he's desing and move set. I just kinda like he's personality. (And I usually love people like him). But I don't like him. And I don't care if this bores other people's. :)
Agreed, I absolutely love Ash because he's such a sarcastic trickster who really doesn't look like much, yet held his own against/defeated Orochi Iori 1v1. Ash doesn't try to be heroic by any means, but had one of the most heroic sacrifices in the series nonetheless.
I love him because I have a soft spot for fictional jerks, egotists, or assholes (looking at you, Faba & Susanna Patrya Haltmann) Also I like his ties with Elisabeth

+dbzlucky actually, the reason is Verse. All the souls lost during the past and that ash messed up, including his own, Rugal, Igniz and then Orochi clan, are part of Verse, as Verse is an amalgamate of these souls
I really liked Ash. I hope he returns similar to how Mature and Vice did and troll everyone again. KOF will never be the same without his trolliness and cockyness. It's like Blazblue without a Hazama (who I also like).
Downside, no one besides Shen, Duo, Elizabeth and maybe Oswald remembers him, so the Sacred Treasures team (Specifically Iori and Kyo) don't fly into a mutual rage and try to rip his head off
En la version de Android te salia este tema y ademas otro tema de Ash como jefe, era Joker y este claro. Para que te saliera era algo random pero varias veces me tocó escucharlo, mas en el menu de musica aparecia y lo escuchaba completo este y el de el Equipo de Kyo y Fatal Fury. Buenos tiempos de secundaria donde salir en las tardes en la tablet a jugar ese Kof XIIi. Buenos momentos de el 14 a 2016

Interesting, that's not something I see a lot of people say! I kind of agree with you, even; as excellent as XIII's sprites are I think they exaggerated my mannerisms a little _too_ much. The way I'm animated in XV is a little more accurate.
I like how SNK completely disregards the Butterfly Effect and the only consequence of Ash sacrificing himself to destroy Saiki is that his ancestry up to Saiki is removed from existence.

I love how Ash's green flames stand out as a contrast to Nameless's blood red flames, K and Kyo's orange flames and Iori's purple flames.

La jugabilidad es distinta a anteriores juegos y supieron aprovecharla muy bien esos 2.

Also played in KOF Wing EX Version 2, a flash browser fighting game running almost in the same-accurate engine but with 60 fps smooth stability.
I'm still glad they chose this theme to be in Smash Ultimate. It's seriously a great choice they've made.
