- A total of 6 ministries have been snagged by the Democratic Alliance, with parties including the IFP, Freedom Front Plus, Patriotic Alliance, GOOD and the PAC heading a portfolio each. President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a cocktail of a cabinet yesterday - with more than 70 people in his new executive.
While Public Enterprises has been scrapped, other portfolios were restructured.
Ramaphosa made his much anticipated announcement at the Union Buildings last night.

Ramaphosa wanted to accommodate some really working DA ministers but kept some of the usless ANC ones so that they can now have a permanent holiday at taxpayers expense. While I get Wayne's drift, in this case I can see Cyril's point. We're talking politics here. Never forget those 179 votes in 2017 that saved this country from the Zuptas. It was that tight. And we have a similar situation now.
