#1 - Don't Be a Jerk: Please be respectful of one another. Treat others reasonably fair and try to be polite.
#2 - Trolling Can Get You banned: I will tolerate fun trolling and just messing around because we all want to have fun and sometimes it can be good to give your friends a hard time or mess with them a little... but once trolling crosses over into harassment or if the trolling is designed to do something underhanded or masks some other intent that I deem to be covertly or overtly nasty then you may end up getting blocked and/or banned here. I'm just not not going to let that sort of thing dictate the spirit of this channel and how we converse here. Hope you understand.

It really does blow my mind that people have figured out how to squeeze even more power out of the older consoles, not to mention that anyone is even bothering. Shows the strength of fandom!

Seriously as this video of yours was starting I was thinking of December 1987 and trying to order the Master System. They were sold out and we had to get The NES. My brother and I were so disappointed but you can’t miss something that you never had experience with so we had no idea The Master System was truly better.

Man, you brought up something I really miss; Sears Catalog. I miss it more than anything for my kids. Me and my brother loved making out our Christmas wish list by circling all the stuff we wanted. My kids just never had the shear joy of toy shopping at a major department store...or Toys R Us for that matter.

Back then when I heard of Sega Master
I knew SEGA MASTER was upgraded in a way just by looking at the magazines and newspapers for sale and stuff like that.
In 1991 as a young teen I lay in bed every night thinking I wish I had something a little bit more powerful than that Nintendo.

@@demonology2629 Totally. I was the same. I grew up with Intellivision and Odyssey 2, and they were fun, but dated for me. I remember my older brother had a friend who got an NES in 1986 when it first released. He brought it over and the first games I saw were Castlevania and Super Mario Bros. At 7 years old at the time, I was blown away, and pined for an NES after that. Finally I got one in early 1989, but then I saw Sega Genesis... Well holy shit. You know I really loved my Nintendo, but then there was Altered Beast, and Golden Axe, and Last Battle. Again I was smitten. It took some convincing, but me and my brother managed to convince Santa for Christmas of 1991. Those were fun times. I still have all my old games, and I still play them with my kids. I wish I had discovered SMS earlier, though. Of all my friends with video games only 1 owned a Master System, and he never played it. Turns out when we were in high school he let me have all his old games after I picked up a Power Base Converter at a ghetto thrift shop. It took me a little bit to really appreciate SMS. By the time I was in my 20's I took a much deeper appreciation for retro games. Since then I have also gotten an original SMS that I modded for FM sound (man, is that cool), and I got into the long lost TurboGrafx/PC Engine side of things. It's really a shame some of this stuff wasn't more popular. I think kids of our generation really missed out on some pretty special games.

I really like the look of Silver Valley, but I don't understand the exploding enemies. That animation was a little over the top lol

Great video m! If you really want a game to evoke the feeling of Castlevania on the Master System then be sure to check out Master of Darkness (also known as Vampire)
It’s very much inspired by classic Castlevania but is a great game in its own right. I made a video on my channel but you’ll find it covered in other videos on RUclips if you search for either of those titles listed above

I try and tell people all the time how Ski Master and Xmas Ski Game on the Genesis remind me of the skiing game on the old Windows95,98 but no one can seem to remember it! I remember the Bigfoot would come eat you if you took to long or went off course 😂! Ahh the 90s were such a great time in the world! SKI FREE WAS THE NAME IF ANYONE WAS INTERESTED

    Sega boy here!
To me, the Master System is more superior than the NES to do with reliability & a good colour pallet, when the NES suffered with a lot of boot failure & the colour palette looks washed out, however NES & Master System are icons.
I have yet to come across an original NES that will boot into games on the first turn on instead of the flashing red power LED & flashing grey & black screens.
