    An evidence that Utube is not always fair. This vid is so underrated despite of having great quality. I was expecting this channel to be one of those 500k to 1M subs because this they put effort into it.

      Thank you very much for your compliments. I made many mistakes in the beginning and therefore it will take a little while until I have so many followers. But comments like yours encourage me to keep going, thanks again with your tip about Tesla!

      @@Electric-Motor Short and concise, though lacking a bit in detail was my impression watching your video on reluctance motors just now.
      What I really liked was the lack of fluff that's so prevalent where the presenter keeps repeating things or bringing up irrelevant things to make the videos longer.

    Great video thank you very much. Are only single-phase electric motors without inverter or power electronics used in the household?

    • @Electric-Motor
      @Electric-Motor  3 года назад +2

      Thank you for your question. Since household appliances have to meet higher and higher requirements in terms of high efficiency, more and more electric motors with power electronics or inverters are being used.

    Excellent job, but Why should the air gap be small in inverter fed induction drives?

    • @Electric-Motor
      @Electric-Motor  3 года назад +3

      Thanks for your question. The air gap of induction motors should always be small, independent with or without inverter, because the energy from the stator must be transported via the air gap into the router, so that a current flows in the rotor bars, which in turn generates a magnetic field. You can compare this a bit with wireless charging in cell phones - the smaller the air gap, the better the magnetic coupling and the better the efficiency of the energy transfer. With a pmsm, I don't need to transfer energy for the excitation of the rotor via the air gap because you have the permanent magnets in the rotor. I can compensate a larger air gap in a pmsm simply by using more magnetic material.

    what type of motor has the most torque? (450RPM, 12-180Nm torque constant is needed)
    I see torque motors are "regular" DC, BLDC motors with 3 phases. they just use strong magnets and small air gap, etc. to generate enough torque
    but are induction motors with similar size stronger or SYNRN motors?
    or 3 phase AC motors?

    If you increase the resistance of the rotor bars/rotor that means that the rotor current will decrease, thus lowering the motor torque? So how can increasing the rotor resistance, increase the torque as you said in the video?

    3d-printed Halbach Motor - Building Instructions - RUclips you can 3d print a hub motor and experiment for droning or wind power. If you could go over PCB design for speed/ heat measurement, breaking regeneration, and speed control, you would be well known in the EV community. No one is talking about making these. The higher end motors are expense to buy and SHIPMENT is EXPENSIVE. There's a lot of patient to do with hubmotors and I only see a people just testing them out.

    1) maybe a bit stronger sound
    even at maximum, I have problems listening to your video on the go (in the Berlin S-Bahn for example)
    2) your German accent is extremely strong and sympathetic...
    3) you put a lot of subjects in your video. I think it would be better to make different videos for each sub-subject. As you're explaining the basics here, I guess most people (including me) are a bit over-burdened with the many technical expressions
    4) maybe try to use as little text in your video as possible. Maybe try showing as much by 3d-models only. Maybe use also some pointers to point to the parts of your 3d-models you're talking about
    5) thank you for sharing your knowledge about electric motors. Thank you a lot

      Hello, thank you very much for the very detailed analysis of the video. You are absolutely right that I made the mistake of packing too many topics into one video. I will upload videos with a higher running volume in the future. Because I don't speak super clear English, I want to use the small texts to help viewers still get as much information as possible. But I will pay more attention that the texts are shorter and written bigger, so that you can read them well on a cell phone when you are sitting in the S-Bahn in Berlin for example ;-) I would have been so happy to see a person in the S-Bahn watching a video of me. Again, thank you very much for the detailed feedback. If you still have questions, you can always put them under a video. Wish you a sunny weekend.

      1) your English is very good. Your accent is your personal identity. Everybody perfectly understands you, don't worry. The longer you speak English, the quicker the accent will leave anyway. Fortunately or unfortunately...
      2) i would stay with the format of approximately 10 minutes. I think it's the optimum time package
      3) yeah with the text, i meant it's maybe better to have no texts at all. But to try explaining everything with 3d-models only
      4) do you know the "kurzgesagt" \ "in a nutshell" -videos? I think they're extremely well done. I wish they were doing videos about e-motors
      5) don't worry. I'm sure there's people watching your videos in the Berlin S-Bahn. I'm certainly not the only one
