I'm from germany and i was shocked when i saw they actually keep them in those plastic cups.... Bettas having their own tank in stores or just being in tanks with other fish is completely normal here.

It makes me happy to see fish being cared for as living creatures and not just as decorations. My Bettas are so lively with personalities and I've even trained them to come up for food when I tap the lid. I have a koi female and a beautiful blue male with white fins in separate tanks and they make me so happy to know that they are living happy fish lives. I think it would be fun to see more about your shop maybe demonstrating some interesting things about tanks, setups exc.

Lucky bettas. As many have mentioned, here in the USA pet shops keep them in plastic cups and the employees tend to be ignorant. I told them I keep my betta in a 5 gallon tank and they said " You don't need that, they are ok in a one gallon container". I think the public is so misinformed largely because of these pet stores and their employees and it breaks my heart. Would you tell me where this Betta store is so I can visit? Too bad I can't buy Bettas from there because it would be darn difficult to import them. And thank you for sharing this. It makes me happy to see that there are pet shops out there that treat them right.

Wish we had a store like this in the UK, I've literally been to 5 different pet stores until I found my betta. Each store only had 2-3 fighters
