    My almost 2yo son liked you so much on this video - he couldn’t stop smiling and saying that he likes you. And at some point he got so shy - he had to run away and then come back to keep watch your video again. 🥰

    My 1 year old already knows all the colors, shapes, letters and counts to 20, but the tracing paper in her wooden puzzle pieces sounds very fun, and she likes playing with the tongs in our kitchen so maybe getting that set up as an activity would hold her interest for a while. She really loves putting her railroad track together and putting cars on that, and playing pretend as well as talking on the phone and dialing phone numbers. She counts all the numbered dots on her dominos and dice as well and colors in shapes and objects that I draw. We sing regularly and play piano, drums, and xylophone. These toys seem similar to where she was at 10-16 months though. She already makes up stories and reads to us. I think she may be ahead if this is for 2-3 year olds.

    I am trying to incorporate my 2.5 year old to Montessori. She won’t do any shelf activities. Just wants to run around and be chased or throw things all over. How do i incorporate this.

    • @allhart
      @allhart  Год назад

      It sounds like your toddler is in a schema for movement. So I would incorporate activities that require her to move around or throw things. Whether that be a certain number of balls they can throw into a basket so she/he can learn to count. Or running around an object a certain number of times. Cater your activities around your children's interests.

    Hi! So informative! Thank you! How many activities for each category (language, math, sensory, etc) do you try to keep out at a time?

    • @allhart
      @allhart  2 года назад

      It depends on the availability of your space. If you only have one shelf, then having 1-2 activities of each category is perfectly fine. You’ll probably just have to rotate activities a bit more often. But if you have a larger space then I would dedicate a shelf to a specific category which is what I’ve done in our space ❤️

      Hi! Could you share where the rainbow came from too? Was it a set- the rainbow, tongs and felt balls? I know it’s a lot but I would LOVE to know where you got so many things! Thanks for being such a great resource 😊

    • @allhart
      @allhart  3 года назад

      I believe I linked the rainbow and felt balls in the description for you. The felt balls came with the rainbow. I had to purchase the little bowl and tongs separately. ❤️

    • @allhart

      Those tongs actually came with a set of different toys that my daughter has outgrown. So I just kept the tongs for her other activities. I’ll see if I can find an equivalent and link it for you ❤️

    where do you buy your mateirals

    • @allhart
      @allhart  2 года назад

      I’ve been collecting materials for many years and have purchased from so many places and was lucky enough to purchase a lot of my materials from a Montessori school that was closing. I would check eBay, Facebook marketplace, and places like Alison’s Montessori. Even Amazon has a few Montessori items that are actually decent quality ❤️

  • @maverick9769
    @maverick9769 2 года назад

    Does this mean Montessori activities is based on toys you have to buy?

    • @allhart
      @allhart  2 года назад +1

      No. There are certain materials that are specific to Montessori education. You would find these in certain homeschool settings or at a Montessori school. But you can definitely follow the Montessori approach at home without having to purchase toys. You can create activities or DIY activities to help in your children’s learning journey. But if you have the means, certain toys and materials do help to facilitate the learning approach especially since it allows children to learn by utilizing their senses. Hope that helps answer your question ❤️

    My son will not listen to any of these instructions at all. Tongs? He'll just use his fingers and scream if I suggest otherwise.

    • @allhart
      @allhart  2 года назад

      He may just not be ready for tongs and that’s ok. He can still complete the activities by using his hands. Have him try scooping items with spoons. Perhaps try other utensils and then come back to the tongs later on for a different activity. ❤️
