I have no idea how you stay so organized and make these pretty study guides while also maintaining a youtube channel. You are an inspiration. Also, I like how you don't try to add extra frills to your documents. I don't understand people who add a ton of stickers and colors to their notes. In my mind that's so distracting, time consuming, and gives an incorrect impression of having studying a lot.
hahah I don't either! lol But everyone has their system and what works for them :) Because I don't have much time to spare, I can't decorate my documents much but I do try to add color since it has proven benefits when it comes to memory ^_^ Thank you for your feedback girl. Love you loads. Have you finished classes yet? 😊💐🌸🌼
Yes, all this!! Although I have to admit my guides are nowhere near as organized as this and I often scratch them together on the same day as the exam. Works every time, though. One other tip for studying - When you are having trouble remembering something important/complicated from that guide, repeat it over and over to yourself while doing a repetitive movement, like tapping your wrist with a specific finger or opening and closing your hands, or anything that suits you as long as it's something you can really 'feel'. Time the actions to the flow of the words. Then, during the exam, when you get to that part, do the exact movement at the exact tempo and it'll help bring all information back to the front of your mind. Use very different movements for any other difficult parts.
I love love loooooove study guides,my life is so much easier with them and I don't know how I would stay motivated if I don't have them! I love it how your study guide is so creative with those sticky notes,I'll have to try that ,it looks cool and if it looks cool then you would want to read them and memorize them! Love your videos because you show us new ways to be organized.
Your comment really made my day Verica - thank you from the bottom of my heart for the huge support and for taking the time out of your busy day to leave me a comment. Best of luck with your studies girl!! Love from Canada 💐💖❤️💐💖❤️💐💖❤️
Seriously ana I dunno why I didn't watched your video at first I watched tons of study guide video in past week and this one was the only helpful video!!! I didn't knew you had this video 😅 Thank you you always save me Lots of love😊❤
Thank you!! I'll be sure to try use these tips to improve my study guide! Normally I would write everything from the textbook but make it look really spacious on my paper.
Hello Ana, this week my midterms starts!! Thanks for giving awesome 10 tips! Before starting my lessons, I am watching your video, keep posting videos please , have a nice day !
Yeyyyy I did it Ana Today I had extremly difficult product management exam! Even though lectures does not hard, the teacher makes it hard because he does not give extra point, I meain you have to give complete answers in the wrriten exam! I must remember all topics! However, finnally I did it! I made flash cards to read notes everywhere haha I wrote every lecture several times and I watched your inspirationel and motovational video such as study tips, effective study, time management. how to prepare practice test video and how to get straigh A //// THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I know right!!! :) With textbook and class notes tho it takes me one full day to write one study guide. :) Practice makes perfect ^_^ 💐💖❤️ Thank you for watching my friend!
Could you please make a detailed step-by-step video on how to create Study Guides? I've watched your video on How to Make a Practice Test Step by Step Slides and this really helps! And thank you so much for your study tips, Ana.
hi ana, I'm studying medicine to be a doctor, so can you give us med students a few tips and tricks? i'd really appreciate that. you've made an amazing channel and Im a loyal follower :D
Hey Ana! Great video as always!! :D I do something similar, a study guide, but I always start writing when it's close to the exams. You talk a lot about active reading and active studying in your videos and it's something I'm prepared to try this semester so thank you for the tips! And on another note: that nail art SLAYS!!! Soo gorgeous!! :D
Thank you so much!! Today I got my maths test result and I got the highest in my class! Sorry for my negativity in your last video however I'm really positive now! Your tips helped me a lot and thank you again for helping me get results which made me overwhelmed with happiness
Hey Ana As always this video is so helpful... I never really understood how to use a study guide, but now it makes so much more sens. Thanks for sharing this video with us 😚 Love from Switzerland
Hi ana I really love your video! Can i ask you a question..do you listen to music while studying..and when you listen to it like in your first reading or something?and what' genre you listen to?i'm a bit hesitant to listen to music while studying especially for exams but i feel somehow it helps
hahaha noooo lol Sorry about being late. These types of videos take ma a while to edit because I am not very experienced with the style. Getting a bit better each time tho ^_^ 😊💐💖
You are correct! Color does help the brain in remembering, but like everything in life moderation is KEY. My apologies for not specifying in the video. I meant to say stick to 3-4 colors max - when I first tried to make a study guide in high school I used (no joke) 15 different colors!!!!!!!!!!! I was so confused and overwhelmed that I had to start the guide all over. Thank you for asking for clarification on this my friend :)
Ana Mascara Thank you for giving a detailed reply to my query. You're right that colours should be minimum because I guess this slows the process of writing. Quality of the material being written should be given due time while the it's decoration.
Hey Ana, I just found your channel and I wanted to thank you! I really love your channel- you offer some unique advice as opposed to just the usual tips that we've all heard before. Do you think you could do a weekly timetable/schedule for a student please? I'm trying to create a schedule that balances school and social stuff because I tend to only focus on school and my mental health is really suffering right now because of it 😔
Hello Danielle, I am so happy to hear that you are enjoying the content on my channel and am very grateful for your support. However, I am sorry that you are neglecting your social life and your mental health due to pressure at school. Trust me, I know this problem too well because it landed me in the hospital more than twice. The perfect balance I'm afraid isn't something that I can standardize as everyone is different, but like with cooking rice, I recommend as much as possible 2 cups mental health to 1 cup work. This does not mean to decrease the quantity of the time spent studying or focusing on school but rather increase the quality of the time spent doing school work. And one of the main factors that will help you to do this is a relaxed, clear and happy mindset. Have a talk with yourself, and find out what makes you happy, what "researches your batteries" and what inspires you. After that, your schedule should be adjusted with the recipe above in mind. I hope this helps and I wish you the absolute best 💜💜 :)
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to respond so kindly. I will try to take your advice and hopefully, I'll get out of this burnout. Sending lots of love and happiness your way 💕
superbb videos,.....just love all your videos.. How can I appreciate for your videos?? I love the way you describe....just excellent....very helpful...love you.
heey Ana loe your videos 😘my finals this Sunday I am very nervous and wasting my time 😢😢 have alot to study and limt time,, BTW am med school student 🙊
my condolences..... i can feel your pain as m a med student too... so yes.... you are doomed you cant score very well in your university exams...given to the fact that a med student has to read gazillion times more than any college going student its impossible to study now.. as studying the whole thing is humanly impossible... before you hit that wine bottle let me tell you that all is not lost yet....yes you can still clear the exam...first give your brain an oxygen boost by going out side and running short distance and hyperventilating this will solve the anxiety problem that keeps you from studying now.....so secondly relax and divide your time by the hours that you have before exam day and then analyse the previous exam questions then try finding a trend and make a plan accordingly where you read things that are easier for you first and as exam day comes nearer you should read things you tend to forget... that is it...stay focused relax dont get panic attacks and stay away from booze and high fat food...eat lite meals and get in a zone.... you will eventually do better 😊..all the best 🤘
do your notes really always look that clean?? on the evening before the Exam my notes are a total mess, side-notes everywhere, post-its, colours... but I like it. then I can see I really worked with the notes.
+Ana Mascara well....I'm studying and preparing notes for a seminar on immunogenetics due in 2 days.... and I'm also working on a new project on neurophysiology so I'm working on that too.... nothing cool or colourful just black and white and red....😊
Hey Ana,thanks for another wonderful video. Just this morning I was wondering why your latest update didn't show up on my feed. As usual, very helpful content. Thanks. Btw, now i swear by active reading and you are to blame. My friends cannot for the life of them understand why i spend so much time writing down stuff! Lots of love,Aditi.
Im going to write a long essay on constructivism . Can these help me with understnding concepts? Like Vygotski sosioconstructivism or Piagets cognitiv teories.
Oo, it was soo helpful. ^_^Mulțumesc!! 😌I wanted to ask you to make a new video about multiple choice exams... Maybe one with some techniques to "smash" this kind of tests...or whatever you feel would be helpful. You kinda guess what I need to know at a certain moment, so I'll just leave it up to you and your free time. :)
My luck is literally the worst, lol. On Monday, I was looking all over your channel, and others, looking for a study guide video for my huge test on Wednesday. Couldn't find any. And now, after one of hardest history test in our year (according to the teacher), you post this video. Haha 😂 **sings Ironic** But I love this video and will use this for future study guides, thank you 💕
I'm struggling with math, but barely in none of the other subjects - like chemistry or physics, where you need math skills. I'm in 7th grade, and I would really appreciate if anyone had some tips or ideas to make math easier so learn and get better at.
really appreciate what you do.... thank you and keep doing what u do....I need some serious exam help( as I get sick an all during examinations)...I am unable to answer or even complete the paper most of the time....my exams are on but after they over would really appreciate ur help!
This video is so helpful..I will make a study guide..Anna can you please make 1 more video for studying maths..I have seen your one maths video..it's so inspirational..I therefore request you to please consider making one more..it would help me so much..love you
Ana Mascara thanks for responding to my concern.. problem sums and fast calculations mainly..and how to revise the huge number of maths done in different tactics in a short time..these 3 things..thanks again Anna
OMG Ana !! 54K subscribers!!! Congratulations you are growing so fastttt, it's because of all the great effort and hard work you put in ur videos 💫❤️❤️ been here since 16K ❤️😘
Awwww and I TRULY appreciate your constant support my dear friend! I am super happy to see that a lot of students benefit from my tips. I've always wanted to share them since it's what worked for me. :) 💐💖❤️💐💖❤️ Much love to you!!!!
Hello. My name is Anais ☺. I would like to know if you know anything that will help me with my studies having dyslexia? Thank you for the videos its has helped me in my classes. I got a C in a class I had gotten an F before with the same professor.
Thank you so much for your videos! I've just passed my two "make-up" (rattrapages?) exams thanks to your advices and because watching your videos gives me so much motivation to work!!! I even bought a super cute cahier just for your advices .^_^. Now I will work for the next midterms in order to pass everything in one time! Thank you so much again! Q: why did you say that colorcode should be minimized in a study guide? Isn't it a solution to understand the structure of it just in one glance?
Bonjour girl!! Aww that is so sweet of you, I am so happy that you find the content of my videos useful. Always happy to help. I apologize for not being clear in the video - what I meant by keep color coding to a minimum is 3-4 colors max. Some students, including myself, would go a bit overboard with color and just like anything in life, moderation is KEY for the method to be effective. I hope this was a helpful explanation. Thank you so much for watching and GREAT JOB on passing those exams!! 😊💐💖
Hi Ana! I have a question. So if I have multiple projects should I spread them and do a bit of each every day or should I do them one by one? And also if I have a book to read should i finish it as fast as i can or spread it out and read a few pages every day?
I've been watching your videos and they are great. However I can't use a lot of ideas you mention in them because I have one subject after another so pretty much I have only 2 weeks to memorize a book of 300 pages.
Study guides have helped me to reduce books of 300 pages to a 10 paged document. :) But I do understand that when first trying to use this method it can be extremely time consuming and intimidating. If you don't mind me asking, how do you memorize a book of 300 pages? :) I am curious to know about your techniques! 💐
I only read the book 2 or 3 times. Somehow I remember most of the stuff. I couldn't study anatomy that way though. The method I used for that subject was a bit weird but it worked for me. I would write names of the elements I was studying about on myself. For example when I was studying about the bones in my arm I would write their names on my arm.
Hello, Ana hope you're doing well i want tell you thank you so much!!!! and i'm lucky to found your channel bec from the day that i started watching your video i just loved studying and im having good marks either in materials that i hate thank you btw the book of" love you to the moon and back" where i can find it to buy it bec i love reading books ^_^
Thnx, Ana. This vid I wanted for duch a long time. Hey! I implemented yur active reading tips, but find problem with memory booster method for lomg answers n differences tables... If u can plzz advice me on this, it would be vry kind of u:) May God bless you!
I would rather create practice tests for differences tables :) The memory boost method works to remember key concepts to include and elaborate in a long answer. ^_^ I hope this was helpful to you my friend. Best of luck with your exams! 💐
Hey Ana, I love your videos and you inspire me very much. ❤️ I'm a Psychology Major and we've been asked to memorize diagnostic criteria for disorders for our exams, can you please suggest ways in which this can be turned into an easier and more manageable task. It'll be a huge help! ❤️❤️
Hello Manan and thank you so much for leaving me a comment. To answer your question, what has helped me memorize diagnostic criteria and symptoms for disorders is watching short videos on each...Something a lot of psych students forget is that disorders have a face, a name, a family...And so when i saw a video of a lady with Huntington's Diseases - I was able to SEE the symptoms, see how it affected the life of that person and therefore had a deeper understanding of the material. (The video I was talking about is this one - I have to warn you it is quite sad: ruclips.net/video/rplp3rGzn5Y/видео.html) But if you are pressed for time, mind maps work super well to study diagnostic criteria. I hope this was helpful ❤️❤️😊
Hi! I'm a new subscriber and i have to say, i love your videos and i enjoy watching them ;) I have a question; i study abroad (for 3 years now) in Austria, so my classes, my notes and the exams of course are in german (my native lenguage is slovene). I don't have any problems with that since i'm fluent in german and in 3 years i only failed on one hard exam, but as the perfectionist i am, i always wonder if studying in german slows me down (vs.studying in slovene, cuz, my thinking process is slovene i guess..). Do you have any thoughts/tips on that? Thank you, keep on the good work ;)
Hello Svetlana! You are so lucky, I've always wanted to visit Austria! ^___^ I wish you much success girl! To answer your question, I've always studied the material in the language that it was thought. I don't think it slows you down - I actually believe that it triggers your memory. To give you an example, I've learned all my maths in French, and so when I switch to speaking in French I have a bunch of random formals that suddenly come to my mind...strange but the mind creates associations like that to help you remember better. And so I would recommend you study the material in the language that it was thought. :) Thank you once again for the support and I hope that I was able to help 😊💐💖
Thank you Ana for taking time to answer my question ;) And you should come visit both, Austria and Slovenia! Contact me if you do ^^ Keep up the good work! (y)
Wow.. I am so glad that i found your channel.. Its very helpful... Can u pls help me i am student... I always feel tried and sleepy... Even by having sufficient 8-9 hr. Sleep. Also due to triediness, i feel low all day, not able to focus in studies.... Please help mam
Hello my friend. Having low energy might be a side effect of a poor diet - maybe this article on 12 Foods to Boost Your Mood & Energy Levels might help: www.foodmatters.com/article/12-foods-to-boost-your-mood-energy 😊
Yes you can! :) In essay questions, if you can make connections and apply as many concepts as you can it will show that you truly understand and know how to use the material = more points for you 😊
Hey Anna whenever I try to study I don't know what happens to me all of the time but I always get into my useless thought n once if I get into those thoughts I couldn't study for hours n that's horrible can u give me tips for that like I definitely wanna get A+ my classes are about to get started n I wanna organize myself n moreover my biggest distraction is youtube n cellphone can u tell me how to get rid of it m totally addicted to that all plzzzzzzzz reply to me
anna I'm gonna start my college in about two weeks. What should I do to study really well. how many hours of sleep do I require to remember and retain everything.
A review document is honestly just me being too lazy to take proper textbook notes - it is a longer and more detailed version of a study guide. But if you have to pick between the two, I would stick with a study guide. ^_^ As it forces you to be VERY selective and analytical with the material. :) I hope this was helpful to you Kim. 💐
Hello Enrique. I will be doing a video on flashcards soon as they were super helpful to me in high school. However, in university I had too much material to study and therefore prefer using the Study Guide and Practice Tests more. It is really up to you - a lot of students swear by the flashcards technique 😊
:-P LOL that is the main reason why I stopped using them. If you would like, you can try www.ankiapp.com/ or quizlet.com/mobile which are 2 apps that make flashcards easier and more organized. 😊💐 Hoping it can help!
HAhah awww that would be super!!! Good luck with organic chem - if you need some help, I think Khan Academy as the best resources on the topic: www.khanacademy.org/science/organic-chemistry 😊💐💖
Ashutosh Alastair yeah organic chemistry gets me rolling like a pin cushion too 😩😩😩 ... I really dunno what to do .. I always ignore it out of fear ... But I gotta do it now 😐
@@AnaMascara Hi Ana, I have a question. How would a study guide for college math/science be different from what you just described in your video? I know that when you take notes for college math Notes it is way different than it would be for say English composition. I'm just wondering what the differences would be when you write it out in a study guide.
I had tried this but I take a lot of time to do this I am a science student and this method take a lot of time for one chapter but it is also use full to revise things I want to do this fast can u suggest any method ana please
The only way you can make study guides faster is if you have already done the work of making textbook and class notes. This way, it only takes me a day to make a study guide. But if this method is too time consuming for you you can always make practice tests or actively read the material to speed up the process. There are 10 active reading techniques you can pick from :) ruclips.net/video/5j8H3F8EMNI/видео.html I hope this was helpful. Best of luck my friend!!
Ana I passed all my exams this semester with your tipps! Thank youuu :D
OMG that is amazing CONGRATULATIONS! Full credit goes to you for putting in all the hard work! 😊💐💖😊💐💖

I'm in 7th grade, and I would really appreciate if anyone had some tips or ideas to make math easier so learn and get better at.

.^_^.
I was waiting for this. Tysm
My pleasure. Glad I could help 💐 :)
For example when I was studying about the bones in my arm I would write their names on my arm.
u r video quality is good ,
i am watching in 360p but still clearly visible,
thanks
Hello, Ana hope you're doing well i want tell you thank you so much!!!! and i'm lucky to found your channel bec from the day that i started watching your video i just loved studying and im having good marks either in materials that i hate thank you btw the book of" love you to the moon and back" where i can find it to buy it bec i love reading books ^_^

hey Ana.. plz post some tips for medical :)
I'm a Psychology Major and we've been asked to memorize diagnostic criteria for disorders for our exams, can you please suggest ways in which this can be turned into an easier and more manageable task.
Ana Mascara thank you so much for the help. I'll try both methods! 😄❤️
Can u please do a video on how to make friends.... cause for some weird reason I make friends only 2 days before finals
tnx. 💜💜💚💚💛💛 love your videos
Contact me if you do ^^
Keep up the good work!

Hello my friend. Having low energy might be a side effect of a poor diet - maybe this article on 12 Foods to Boost Your Mood & Energy Levels might help: www.foodmatters.com/article/12-foods-to-boost-your-mood-energy 😊
thank u ana mascara....if possible please make a proper diet plan for exam days.
hey ana!can i use it fr essay type of questions
Yes you can! :) In essay questions, if you can make connections and apply as many concepts as you can it will show that you truly understand and know how to use the material = more points for you 😊
Hey Anna whenever I try to study I don't know what happens to me all of the time but I always get into my useless thought n once if I get into those thoughts I couldn't study for hours n that's horrible can u give me tips for that like I definitely wanna get A+ my classes are about to get started n I wanna organize myself n moreover my biggest distraction is youtube n cellphone can u tell me how to get rid of it m totally addicted to that all plzzzzzzzz reply to me
I love your videos
anna I'm gonna start my college in about two weeks. What should I do to study really well. how many hours of sleep do I require to remember and retain everything.
+Ana Mascara I have been out of college for 30 years... what is the difference between a study guide and a review document?
A review document is honestly just me being too lazy to take proper textbook notes - it is a longer and more detailed version of a study guide. But if you have to pick between the two, I would stick with a study guide. ^_^ As it forces you to be VERY selective and analytical with the material. :) I hope this was helpful to you Kim. 💐
Thank you so much for the clarity!
Hey anna, i've been following you for a while now, i noticed you never mention flashcards, what are you thoughts about them?
Sure I'm not Ana but flashcards are super helpful! On the way to different places i use them to test myself or my friend. I really recommend them
I tried them but ended up with 300 of them for a single chapter, is this normal? 😅
Enrique Loup there's no such thing as normal if it helps you in the end then it doesn't matter 😜
I am struggling with organic chemistry and i hope your technique will help me out. Btw, we need 50k subscribers party !!😁😂
HAhah awww that would be super!!! Good luck with organic chem - if you need some help, I think Khan Academy as the best resources on the topic: www.khanacademy.org/science/organic-chemistry 😊💐💖
Ana Mascara My chemistry exam is over now 😂😂
Ashutosh Alastair yeah organic chemistry gets me rolling like a pin cushion too 😩😩😩 ...
