- Today Savilles' Travels take you to the Largest island Resort in the Maldives - Siyam World
I'd love it if you would SUBSCRIBE to my Channel - / @savillestravels
Set over 54 hectares with so much for families to enjoy including multiple tennis courts, a world-class spa and the biggest floating water park this All inclusive island is a fantastic option
The WOW All-Inclusive Plan with dine-around options for dinner are world class, along with unlimited beverages including Champagne, Aperol, Baileys etc, an in-villa mini bar and complimentary excursion makes this really feel like pure luxury
We travelled as a family and personally I feel that is what the island is best at offering, I wouldn't choose for my honeymoon as I would enjoy a smaller more relaxed resort
There is a wide selection of accommodation with villas set just steps from the shoreline or perched directly over the lagoon - we stayed in the Lagoon Villa with Pool & Slide and I have made a separate video tour of this
The service is outstanding with your own Ambassador who will help you with anything you need during your stay
Our stay was during July/August so we expected rain but maybe not as much as we got so please bear this in mind when booking. Also the wind was very strong making deeper sea snorkelling impossible for us and visibility from our room very limiting. I think we were fairly unlucky as it is not always like this in the rainy season
NEGATIVES...
I'm afraid I had a huge one during our stay (July/August 2022) - I have dated this as the resort are currently trying to rectify this problem
The pools (all of the pools) are affected by bad workmanship meaning that several tiles are missing leaving behind very sharp edges and many people daily on the island were cutting their feet. This then means you cannot get the area wet so no swimming! Jugali pool was closed towards the end of our holiday for them to refurbish it (crazy when it was opened in October 2021). I would advise anyone going to buy coral shoes and wear these in the pools. Our lagoon villa pool was affected too but I saw workman working on other villas so in the future I would hope this will not be a problem. Workmanship around the whole resort is also quite poor with raw tile edge steps and small steps in bizarre places causing trip hazards. I'm not trying to put you off, I believe a review should be honest and this was my finding.
Lastly, if you are not bothered about all the activities and several restaurants I would go to a different island that will give you a much better coral reef to snorkel in
However if you want a memorable family holiday I don't think it can get much better than this
Would I go again...yes to the Maldives but I never return to exactly the same spot. I believe once they have fixed the teething problems this island will be the best family resort in the Maldives
Please leave me a comment and I'll happily try to answer any questions you may have
Great video - we are due to be there soon - what month did you go for this video ?
@@mooriginal Hi, I hope you have a lovely time. It was July/August
Such a beautiful family. ❤
Great video. We were there in June and loved it. Great to see it all again.
A fab place we were there for 10 days end of may/June for our 25th anniversary
I’m sure you had a great time. I love the Maldives, never gets boring!
Great video! I was there in May.
Hi ya , can I ask what the weather was like in May please ? Thanks in advance
Hi, good vlog. How does this island compare with other islands in Maldives especially for marine life? Thanks
Hi, For me I prefer smaller islands we have been to for that 'Maldives' feel however if you like lots to do and good food then you can't go too wrong. There is definitely marine life, we saw small sharks each day but just less than we have experienced elsewhere.Things may have changed and settled more now though as we went over a year ago now. Building will always disturb the fish for a while. Overall a fantastic holiday but I loved Sun Aqua Villa Reef more.
Hi there! Could you recommend other smaller island that you been too please! I'm looking to book siyam world because of lots to do but still not convinced as I also wants that Maldives feel
@@DP-ks9fc we really enjoy Sun Aqua Vilu Reef which is a sister island - we had a lovely beach villa with a private pool

Visited in June for our 25th anniversary....best experience ever
Glad you had a great time
Great video !!
Did you’ll had to PCR to enter Maldives or at exit Maldives ?
Hi, thanks and no PCR required
How was the mosquitoes, been some horror stories
@@thistless Hi, me and my son had a fair few but no worse than other holidays I’ve been on
Hey I'm looking to book this resort, can I ask when you went? I know you went out of season but what month, as it looks like you still had some decent weather xx
Hi, we went at the end of July into August (school summer holidays). We got a lot more rain than other times we have visited the Maldives. I think I didn’t show quite how bad the weather was on some days!!
Love this video, where did you book this? Would be really grateful if you replied back x
Hi, we booked with Affordable Luxury Travel - they were really good and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again
Hey, was there salt water in the pool? Did you see the little sharks and octopuses? Is the sofa bed in every villa with nightwear, or did you have to ask for it and pay extra? Did the sound of the sea disturb you at night? Is there nightlife and entertainment on the island? I go to bed very late. Thank you. Sorry for so many questions 🙂
Hi, The pools were fresh water but I know they were doing work on them when we left so I can't guarantee this is still the same. Yes lots of small sharks around the island. I didn't see any octopus. Because our son was in the same room they automatically make up the sofa as a bed but if staying as a couple it would be a sofa. The room was quiet at night as we had the doors shut and the air conditioning on. There were a few things going on in the evenings but mostly it's about going to the restaurants and quiet bars to enjoy a drink. They had certain entertainment on certain nights in areas of the island so always something to do/see.
@@SavillesTravels Thank you for your reply 🙂 I would really like to see sharks 🙂🦈
Did you get the all inclusive package? All those restaurants that you have been are included?
Yes all included - we were WOW all inclusive. I think everyone on the island is all inclusive so gets the done around options and amazing drinks
@@SavillesTravels which month that you went please?
Very nice 👍
Where from you?
Essex in England
Did you have to make reservations ahead of time for the restaurants
Yes we did. We used the app which was so easy and always got the restaurant we wanted. We visited some of them twice.
4:32 is the trampoline free ?🥰💓
Yes the floating aqua park is included at no extra cost. So much fun, it kept my son entertained for hours.
How many days in advanced did you need to reserve the restaurants? Did you do it before arriving or during your stay?
Hi, I reserved a couple before we left home then just did the rest a few days ahead whilst we were there. The restaurants are so good, enjoy
@@SavillesTravels thank you
My wife and i Watched all 3 of your videos then booked for 2023 as returned from maldives in August 22 and now nothing seems to hit the spot . Can I ask if drinking water is desalinated ? Or sealed bottles .
Sorry 4 weird question dave
Hi Dave. Thanks so much for watching and glad it’s helped. The water is not sealed bottles in the room it’s in glass bottles which they refill. However you can get bottled water around the island. I went to the sports bar where the gym is in the mornings and it’s help yourself out of the fridge. You could always take some of these back to your room if preferred
Thank you that's great tip we went cocoon this year and found a fridge with bottled water as we left ,was only me who it didnt agrree with i was gonna dash in male airport n buy some . Thanks again for your reviews they are just what you need to know b4 booking a holiday . Coincidence we probably not far from you we live herts (nr stansted ) .and was on verge of booking mauritius this year .but loved the solitude of water villa n wife n I both moved by maldives . We was booking Prince Maurice but changed our mind . Just in case ,,we was advised by agent out there if going mauritius July Aug Sept avoid South East Side hope this helps n not hinders
Kindest regards dave n Sam
@@davehitch5889 yeah you are close by!
Did you like Cocoon? I always look at that resort as often there are good deals but something stops me booking.
We lived Sun Siyam Vilu Reef - we had a beach villa with private pool. I’d recommend there.
We have booked Mauritius for next year. I love the Maldives but fancied a change. Got lots of videos coming next year…. Lanzarote, Ibiza, Mauritius, Devon & Lapland
Cocoon was lovely n I got great deal through emirates couldn't justify the 2 grand more to return when other islands out there read better . Lovely people though so freindly my wife had swollen ankle n flight made it balloon up they delivered ice n chairs to elevate at dinner the extra costs were high for any excursion all carte restaurant n they didn't need to sell as buffet rest was great . . Flights were worst part 16 hrs going 26 hrs return . We have direct flight next year
busy travels 4 u comin up we'll stay over your channel
Safe travels to you n family
Just a thought I noticed new island (joy island) is part of cocoon group n seems reasonable enough 4 a water villa all inc . Don't think it open yet . Got to shop around as some prices are crazy expensive
I sent u link as its confused with joy maldives a tour operator in male .
Hi I’m heading here this Saturday for five days, how much rain should we except each day?
Hi, I think we were unlucky and got 2-3 days of solid rain. It was windy during our stay too. We had a few days with no rain and others were on and off. When we’ve been before it’s been brief showers at night and that’s it. I hope it stays as dry as possible for you. Have a fantastic holiday and don’t forget to download the app as you can book restaurants before you go and view daily activity schedules
@@SavillesTravels 🤞I’ll download the app now, thanks for the tip
Which app is this?
Hi what’s the kids club like ?
We’re flying over on Boxing day for NY with our 5 and 7 year old boys
TIA
Hi, sorry I've only just seen this comment, I hope you had a fantastic stay in the Maldives
Which villa is this..??
Cause I Booked Water Villa With pool + slide....
Is it good 👆
Hi, we were in a lagoon villa with pool and slide
@@SavillesTravels how's is the water villa is there no privacy??
@@akshaytapadiya5088 I found it great, our deck was totally private. My preference would be to stay in a beach villa with pool again but at Siyam World I think the water villas are best
@@SavillesTravels i booked 2 night beach villa and 2 night water villa...
But i listen in other videos that water villa are not private...
Ocean water villa are good
Now resort charging extra money
What should I do
@@akshaytapadiya5088 I think that’s a great combination. Personally I found our villa absolutely fine, the resort was only around 40% full when we stayed. Is it your first time in the Maldives?
How much time you stayed there.
We had 12 nights in a lagoon water villa
Wow nice, I am Mumbai India.
Hello Dear, 12 night very long stay...you had enjoyed, nice family.

Sorry but I can’t say as my son didn’t use it. He’s older (13yrs). The facilities are great for families though. Have a fantastic time
