Transport the droids into battle in the heavily-armored MTT™! Open up this Multi-Troop Transport repulsorlift vehicle with hidden wheels to reveal a huge array of play functions. Pull down the side flaps and fire the spring-loaded shooters, flip the back hatch containing a STAP, and aim the front cannons. Turn the gear to extend the Battle Droid™ rack at the front of the tank or switch around the 4 racks between different compartments of the MTT™. Let your imagination run wild and create your own version of the famous Battle of Naboo from Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Includes 3 minifigures with assorted weapons: Naboo™ Security Guard, Obi-Wan Kenobi™, Qui-Gon Jinn™, plus a Battle Droid™ Pilot and 7 Battle Droids™.

History of Lego Star Wars
At its start in 1999, Star Wars was one of the first officially licensed LEGO themes released, alongside with Winnie the Pooh. The theme was originally planned to end in 2007, but was renewed and slated for discontinuation in 2011. Despite this, LEGO renewed the license yet again until 2016. After that had been announced, Lego established another contract guaranteeing the continuing of the theme at least until 2022. So far, from 1999-2011, there have been 236 LEGO Star Wars sets, including regular sets, Star Wars Mini sets, Midi-scale sets, TECHNIC, Mindstorms and Ultimate Collector Series sets. In 2005 they changed the faces from Yellow to a flesh coloured face which also continued when Harry Potter used the flesh colour for the brand.

As much as I dislike the Prequel-Trilogy, I have to admit that the spaceships and vehicles are awesome.

You can easily modify the 75058 Matt to hold more droids. I modified mine and now it holds 12 nicely.
Yeah but it’s a shame the set focused on the minifigures and other things instead of the Mtt itself
I think you can add both for back and front if you change the area of the other droid in the back

This version is a rip off, the first version your can hold two stacks of droids
FOorE GOld The first version was from when the movie was first made and could only hold like a handful of droid, the second one was the one we fondly remember because it was large and could hold 20 droids.
