Amazing job Nils. I've been shooting a Canik since I found USPSA in 2017. One of the great things about this sport is the day before the match, you actually walked a few of these stages with me and shared ideas. An almost laughable idea in any other sport., that a National Champion level competitor would treat a scrubby-ass nobody as a peer at the competition.
@@NilsJonasson It was great! Also I swapped from a 13lb to a 14lb recoil spring in my Rival based on our conversation and it helped avoid some malfunctions I had been getting.
Man that is inspiring! Awesome shooting! Would love to see more videos walking through your practice routines and things like that! You definitely have a new fan!
@@NilsJonasson Amazing job! I purchased my rival partially because of you! What belt and mag setup are you running good sir? Or can you suggest a setup for someone going into their first competition? Amazing shooting as always
@@Jaygoesin Thanks Jay, I run the factory rival holster mounted to a Boss hanger. My mag pouched are from Zeus Practical, which work pretty well. My belt is a canik/CR speed style over under belt. Double Alpha makes some solid belts and mag pouches, so you can’t go wrong there. CR Speed also has mag pouches that will work perfectly well for slightly less money. Hope that helps.
Thank you for posting your video Nils and congrats on 1st place… you kicked our butts last year at independence match at PRG 😊 but it was awesome seeing you shoot
Met ya a few years back at nationals down in frostproof. Was my first match ever ( I'm a super senior), and had a rough time on a stage and walked off and you teased about a popper I had a hard time with. I liked you razzed an old rookie like that. Hope to meet you again someday. You should come down and shoot Frank's Florida Open. Bill
I mean, you can also be smooth and slow😂 Now sometimes people like to incorporate movements that aren’t efficient but look flashy. Sometimes that works, sometimes not.
@@NilsJonasson Thank you for the reply. My petite 16yo daughter uses that same model to participate in IDPA from time to time. She loves it and won't let Daddy run it on an IDPA course. 😆 I've seen that Canik came out with the Rival-S so I may pull the trigger on that model. Have a great day, and keep bringing the content.
Two good options would be going to USPSA directly and learning more about the sport at uspsa.org Or checkout matches local to you using Practiscore which is the scoring system most matches utilize. practiscore.com/search/matches Observe a match and ask questions. You’ll find that most people are happy to help new shooters.
It's not though 😂. Watched a guy dealing with his at the range I work at, and it was choking on whatever he was shooting, didn't look or sound like a gamer load either.
Are you excited for the rival S? I bought the darkside not too long ago but I’m wondering if it’s worth getting the steel version or just work on getting better with the polymer one
Well if you work for Canik you should tell them to make stainless steel barrel for The darkseid rival. Not everybody likes grey and gold. They should have made the dark side black and chrome

That’s absolute one of the best aspects of practical shooting. Happy to help when I can. Hopefully we came up with useful stage plans together.

@@bangbangping-uspsa Yeah the 13lb spring is just to darn light to reliably hold it in battery.
Are we not going to address how slick that draw is? Zero wasted motion, and smooth as glass.

I’ll see about posting a little more frequently.
Hoping to see you in person soon.. Great shooting and a heart of a champion.. So humble❤
First RUclips video in awhile
right after we talked about it you follow up with a banger video.

How inspiring. Im waiting for my canik rival to arrive, and can't wait to start competing. Your videos have definitely helped me a lot. Thank you.
Thanks. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
Thank you Nils, for posting content, a lot to learn from observing.
Looking forward to more.
Congratz on the win and thanks for including me in the highlights! My whole 2 seconds of screen time!
Nils you the man, man. Wonderful performance!
Thank you John.

Excellent work Nils!
Awesome job man! It was a pleasure shooting with you.
Congratulations Nils!!! 🎉🎉🎉
You made it look much easier than it felt when I was shooting!
Thanks. There were some difficult stages at CO Nats last year.
Incredible!! 🙌🏾
The man is a beast!
You make it look effortless. Awesome video and a well-deserved win!
Thanks James.
Awesome shooting that canik is impressive!!
Thanks!
Yes it is.
Absolutely amazing job!
Thank you very much!

Picked up a Rival a month ago, sheesh. Shoots amazing
Awesome ! My Rival Darkside just shipped today - looking forward to checking it out
Hope you enjoy it!
@@NilsJonasson No doubt ! Will def hit some matches with it and use this video for some inspiration 👍🏼

Congrats. Amazing performance. Will you be posting videos of your Limited and Production 2022 Nationals? Love seeing you and Canik on top.
Canik on fire 🔥 🔥🔥. Nice shooting 👏👏👏
Thanks.
Dang! Shooter extraordinaire! See you at Shot Show🤘
See you there!
Wow! You’re dialed in sir 🤌
Great Shooting. I just picked up a Rival before christmas. Love it so far

I’m sure I’ll be back in Florida for something.
Hi from Turkey Nils, congratulations. Which gun will you prefer at competition, Rival-S or Rival?
I'm liking the new Rival-S a lot, but the Rival is an awesome pewpew.
The most impressive aspect of Nil’s shooting style is that he never seems to be in a rush. Slow is smooth and smooth as fast. 🤙💯🔥

Certified beast.
Have you shot the Mete series in a match?
Oh yeah. Great shooting pistol.
The Mete and Rival actually share basically the same frame.
what holster is that you're using
Factory holster mounted on a boss hanger.
That’s a smooth running gun wish I could get mine to run like that
Were you shooting the regular Canik Rival or the S version?
This was before the S came out, so this was the original Rival.
@@NilsJonasson Nils appreciate you answering, thanks!
The Canik is running like a scalded cat. And you aren't exactly stuck in the mud either :) Good seeing you! Congrats!!

It’s the Rival.

Smooth
So this is how the pros do it
Switched the fuck on
