Holy crap the edits...GREAT WORK! Love the transitions. I've been wanting an Italian for a while now but the time never seemed right when made available to me. Whether it be the menu, or what have you, I can't seem to obtain this guy! Great video, Jerms!
It's been a while since I've seen an Italian review. Very cool! The only downside to these is that they are typically commercially available stuff. The only one I ever had was traded to someone that really wanted to give one a try. Thanks for the vid, great watch!
@@jermsMRE I forgot to mention.... Those fruit gummies...are actually real fruit and I THINK, contain B & C Vitamins and electrolytes. They aren't JUST....candies. And YES, you correctly interpreted the DATE CODES
hello, about the dates: 2020 is the production year, 2022 is the expiring date, and the 2019 one I think it's more on the bureaucratic side, "contratto" means contract as the agreement between the military corp and the producer (imho).
Great review my friend. I've been looking at these for a while, but they are always quite expensive. The contents look brilliant though, especially the condensed milk and the pork. Even the stove they give you looks solid. I'm hoping some newer versions will come onto the market in the near future. All the best, Jono 🙂👍
This was definitely a great experience! I thoroughly enjoyed making this review. Hopefully you get your hands on one! Would love to see your take on one! Thank you so much for watching!!
I wonder if the Italian Army has some other way of getting fluids to their troops because this ration didn't have any gatorade type drinks in it. Most rations have some type of electrolyte drink for at least two of the meals.
I was thinking the same but you know, I should have dropped one of those energy tablets in water to give that a shot. I bet that would work for a drink. Again, thanks for watching!!
@@jermsMRE hello again, it's possible that the type of food was choosen with that in mind. The tortelli/ravioli is quite a traditional meal and the "pasta e fagioli" soup is (it was at least, nowadays gens have opinions) considered a kind of comfort food. I saw other ITA MRE and there was a tuna can with tomato sauce and peas and a "minestrone" (veggie soup) can and if the second is an easy setup for warming the belly and an easy digestion, the first is real comfort food, usually eaten with a huge amount of bread.
Ohhhh MAN!!! Jerms back at it again another BANGER!! You did a darn fine job with this ration review here big bro 💪🤙 Breakfast Ive alwasys found they eat pretty light over there conpared to here where We eat bacon eggs toast grits pancakes then topped with you gotta go atleast two sticks of butter all while drinking whole milk and orange juice 😂😂💪💀💀 You seemed to heavily accept lunch and dinner portions, overall for three meals and recording all while still recovering and PT you did a realll good hob with this one Jerms!! Unalived it again brotha 💪🐐🐐🐐
Hey brother!! Man this was a great experience!! You're right about our brekkie here 🤣🤣🤣 Hope to see a review from you soon!!! And looking forward to your next live stream!!! Thanks for watching and the awesome feedback brother!!!
Hi Jerms! Great review, bud! I've never had an Italian ration. Lot of different opinions on them. Some good, some not so good. But I figure it's like everything else. It all depends on your personal taste. Have a great day 🤝
Howdy Amigo! I never lucked into one of these. These look cool, in what reviews I have seen. Yours is no exception. SCM is excellent multitasker. Coffee, tea, crackers, other food all benefit from it. Ravioli looks good. Coffee at lunch, not so much, LOL. Dinner looked good as well. Mains, sides, all 3 meals , looked awesome. Glad you enjoyed. Peace, John. P.S. , I agree, foreign rations put more thought into their rations, on food quality for their soldiers. I have always said this. You are not alone.
Hey John!! I was very pleased with this ration. However, these 24 hr rations are a challenge to review and not have an hour long video!! I appreciate you John!! Thanks for being here!!
On the back of the package it says november 5th, not may 11th(european date format) and it's the day the "AR food" company that made the MRE signed the army contract with the government(contract number 846 from november 5th 2019, the topmost line confirms it was produced in 2020).
Haven't seen an Italian review in a long time. Would have thought they'd transition away from that metal foil packaging for some heavy mil plastic wrap.
Drives me nuts when ration reviewers don’t heat their canned meats in fat! 🤦♂️ Those products benefit the most from heating. Other than that great review fella.
That solid coffee that you had for lunch is still good as long as there is no mold growing on it. I've had that and dissolved it in hot water. Fine for mw
hey! at minute 10:50 you observe the dates. 2019 is the "contract date" and theres the number of it too. it refers to the order for which this specific lot of rations was made. the italian rations have a shelf life of 2 years. the date on the second line specifies that its best consumed before the 3rd of september, year 2022
There are only 2 of those that have the cordial in them I believe and they are very hard to find or very expensive if you do find them. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!

That pork and gelatin looked like it was fantastic.
It was exquisite!! I was a little skeptical about it but holy moly!! Thanks for watching!!!
