- Does love have to pass the test of time, distance & political stains? JARIM is a tale of separation, for someone on the other side. A Tibetan girl is still waiting at Phari, a Tibetan town, few miles west of Bhutanese border in Paro, for the return of her lover from Bhutan. Once a bustling trade route, now closed and sealed over geo-political shift of the region. They have not met for years, Everything has changed, but one thing remains - their LOVE. Nothing compares to love ❤️
The snow mountain range which is seen behind the singer is Mount Jomolhari, behind which is the Tibetan town of Phari. Part of the song lyrics was written on the last winter Jomolhari hike.
Tenzin Paldon was crowned Miss Tibet 2017. Her faith in motherland, love and human grace, allowed us to work on this collab in short notice. Special thanks to Tsheringsamfilms and team helping the shoot on the other side.

Wow good to know that. The nearest we reached Phari was on the Jomolhari hike last time, and we tried to gather every story of people who have travelled to Phari, real and from books as well. All of us hikers wished we could go there and see the vast sunset
@@MistyTerrace amazing. That’s a lot of research behind a song video to make a connectable story. There’s so much history behind things, places which we take for granted. As Ms. Tenzin Dolker mentioned, I searched for the place Phari and realised it’s named as Pagri on Google Maps and understood the relationship between Bhutan and Tibet. And that’s how the scripts are nearly similar.
