Can't wait to get my three hazel color I ordered over a month ago, I was lucky to get all of them in hazel color to upgrade my almost 4 years old Chromecast TV dongles, looks like is already shipped out I"ll get it by Monday🤙👌🔥✨ BUT, for someone is not in hurry and can wait for couple of months or so, I'm pretty sure can get this over Black Friday or holiday prices for $80 a pop👍
Not a bad device! I have an NVIDIA SHIELD TV and a FIRESTICK device. I really don’t need this with what I already have. If for some reason, my SHIELD or FIRESTICK should go sideways, I might consider this device. However, I can’t get past not getting another SHIELD. Like you said, the SHIELD is in a totally different category. Still, thanks for this review. Good job! Peace.

@@darincampbell467, I have both versions of Nvidia Shield media streamers, yes the Tegra 1 chip is great but that doesn’t make it a streaming monster. It’s on Android 10 STILL which is 4 years old now. If you’re using it with an external SSD loaded with HD movies and mobile games @ 1080p Max then you do you. Fire stick max 4k with Dolby Vision, Onn Pro with Google TVOS and now GoogleTV Streamer 4k with more onboard memory with Google AI and Google Home integrated is faster and better.
I've had the Onn 4K Pro in my Living Room for a few Months now and I absolutely love it! It's much faster and not as buggy as the original Chromecast With Google TV 4K. I still have two Google Chromecast With Google TV 4K's for my other two TV'S and I don't plan on Upgrading them because they are still good enough but I wanted something better for the Living Room and I definitely got that with the Onn 4K Pro. The Onn 4K Pro also shows up in the Google Home App just like the Google Chromecast With Google TV 4K's do so that's another plus for half the Price. Walmart really has a good thing going with their Onn Streaming Devices I just hope they can be consistent with the Updates for them.

I think it is a bit on the pricier side. I used some Google store credit I had along with a 10% govt employee discount to lower the price. I got it mainly for the Thread/Matter router and the 1gig eth as I'm hardwiring this unit. For my other rooms, I'll probably just get the ONN Pro if I update the Chromecast gtv units I have. Edit: I have gig Internet service so this should fly hardwired.

I don't understand Google, they waited all this time to release a device with WiFi 5? While Roku Ultra same price with HDMI cable in the box and Wifi6, I have Nvidia Shield 2017 and I want to upgrade but I'm having second thoughts.
My #1 wish list item is making it easier to connect to captive networks like hotels. Currently needing to use a third party browser app that has pointer support to select fields and press the login button. Is there an easier way?

Does anyone know if the Google TV Streamer 4K can read USB drives that are formatted to ExFAT? The Google Chromecast could only read FAT32 so it was not possible to save a file to usb if it was larger than 4 gb.
Hey, can you jump between open apps like on the nvidia shield (pressing home twice brings up a list of apps and is easy to jump between ) when I watch a RUclips video on this, go to Netflix and then back to RUclips, the video I was watching slows to a crawl with no audio
Been using mine for about 24 hours . It's a nice device but nowhere near a Shield . LAN Port getting good speeds and pretty responsive so far. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the Google TV Playstore vs the Android TV Playstore . Tested custom launcher can be installed and most streaming apps work fine
My shield has really slowed down over the last year. I have no idea why I did a factory reset, cleaned it and everything but it's still slow. I ended up going with the Walmart version

For me the fact Google wants you to pay 100 dollars for this device but yet doesn't supply you with a HDMI cable and you have to buy one ,is a turn off for me im good with my walmart onn 4k pro streaming device , it comes with the HDMI cable included, pretty much the same specs and features for half the price
@@Triple_M I don't think that Gigabit Ethernet should make the cost difference that big. IMO tne cost difference between obsolete 10/100 and Gigabit is less than a $1 per unit. For me Gigabit Ethernet is a must. I don't like using WiFi on stationary devices especially when it's not necessary. I would say that Google has set the price for this device about $40 too high.

Google TV Streamer 4K is $100. You get 32gb disk space and 4gb ram .
The ONN 4k Pro is $50 with the same specs.

ONN has WiFi6. On the 100MB vs gigabit iport- You don't need Gigabit to do 4K..

If you are playing local 4k remuxes then a wired Gigabit port is the way to go.

I prefer the google streamer. It is a little bit smoother with navigating vs the onn 4k pro.
