this showed up on my recommended, and before I looked at the posting date, I thought this was a video from 2009. Seeing someone dressing in the scene fashion in the year 2021 without a hint of irony or *"lol. can you believe we used to dress like that"* makes me feel so happy and nostalgic.
Billboard Dad 😭 I loved that movie. Also, here's the thing about "scene/emo" clothes. I feel like all the super LEGIT images of kids/outfits in those styles that survived the internet through the years are the ones that are often seen. But in reality, unless you/your family had money for you to blow on a bunch of clothes/accessories at hot topic or Spencer's and shit, you kind of just had to make due with what you had. So although the well known images regarded as emo/scene look super-2008-hot-topic-mannequin, a TON of people in that category didn't look like that ALL the time. The days between were filled with random bright colored clothes you may have gotten from walmart or on sale at rue 21, or whatever ill fitting black clothing you had. So things like the yellow and pink sweater would pop into play because it was colorful. You would just top it off with some childlike beaded bracelets or earrings and some matching makeup with a cat eye and call it a day. Or just wear some normal jeans with a scene-ish tshirt and chucks and a hoodie that didnt usually match but was brightly colored. There was a lot of in-between styles that existed among those groups. Maybe that's just cause I came from a rural area that was on the poor side, or because a lot of people were just picking up on emo/scene style around that time so they didnt have a full wardrobe yet. Either way, no one should be saying that any of your clothes "dont fit that style" because making what you had work makes it seem that much more authentic. That's just my opinion anyway. I feel like the more decade-styled images or outfits is what carries over though the years more than the more common, somewhat average look. Which makes sense. Just a thought that you made me think of which is pretty interesting when thinking of how fashion and style works. Anyway, you're awesome and adorable! I would have definitely tried to be your friend during my emo days ^.^

Just found your channel and I love it so much, it brings me so much nostalgia, I really thought scene was dead. I used to be obsessed with scene kids back in 2010 and I was too young to fully dress scene and my hairstylist didn't know how to do the haircut so I'd just end up with a layered look lol
I bought a stud belt, a neon green leopard print shirt, and a shirt that reminds me of the early 2000s at the mall on Saturday! I also got skinny jeans a few days before.
The editing in this is immaculate lol but as someone with half pink and half black hair, I feel your pain on the bleeding. I like Wella’s Demi permanent black. It bleeds a little but nothing close to Transylvania. That color stained so much of my stuff and often times, my face from sleeping on my hair
living in Georgia sucks man, no scene kids, no good thrift stores, crazy religious relatives who dont want me to be scene, and the CRAZY WEATHER! One day is 60° and the other day its 99° :’)
to clean your shoes this is what i do! if theyre mostly fabric like converse or vans just tie the laces together put them in an old pillowcase (or buy one from the thrift!) and just...put them in ur washing machine with your normal clothes! the reason why you should either tie the laces together or take them out is so they dont tangle up and the pillowcase is to stop outside ground dirt getting into your washer with your regular clothes. hope this helps!!!
You could try washing any shoes/sneakers with canvas as the fabric and put them in your washing machine?! I’ve done with some of mine and it works pretty well. Just let em air dry. Google it, it could be worth a shot!

TRANSYVANIA SUX youre sooo right i did the same thing--transylvania underneath and a chunk in my bangs but the rest of my hair is blonde rn but its bleeding everwherreee so i will probably have to color the blonde. underneath its faded to a dark purple but in my bangs it looks like dark teal its so weird. it's also so drying for a semi permanent hair color i was expecting it to be more conditioning like manic panic it reminds me of a fycing black crayola marker if that make sense like you get it on your hand and it's green but when it starts to dry out its like blue or purple
I found some really cool things at the thrift store that i didnt get because i didnt really like the pink and black combo but they were like exactly your thing they had really cute stars and it was grometed and there was a pink studded one and some cheatah and al sorts of stuff
