I have a few Bravo Concealment holders and have never had an issue, they fit my pistols perfectly and with outstanding retention and fit and finish all for under 40 bucks making it just as good as my Tier One and TRex holsters that cost 3X.

For the rare instances that I need a owb holster bravo concealment does just fine. I wouldn't wear it out in public but alone in the woods no problems. I don't believe it would last if used daily though.

I love Vedder Light Tuck and Tulster Profile holsters. I like the one wide metal clip which makes it easy to carry at appendix or 3 o'clock. The other holsters that have 2 separate clips spaced out makes it harder to carry in other places except the one. Vedder and Tulster also seem to have a much bigger selection of gun models compared to most others.

I've made the budget holster mistake a couple of times. I've also gone high end a few times as well. These days I find the mid-tier ones fit my needs perfectly. I really like the Vedder Light Tuck because it's a true mid-tier: comfortable, affordable, conceals well, doesn't have anything I don't need.

I own several of the Bravo holsters you have there in the video. I’m not an operator but I carried my duty weapon in one for years. For the last year or so I have been carrying one of their IWB holsters and I love it. The plastic feels and sounds cheap, I’ll give you that. But it flexes without cracking or splitting and has never failed me.

I have come to the opinion of "cheap gear does not have to be bad" depending on how you look at it.
Like with pouches and with holsters you could get something cheap, to see if that type of pouch/holster/carrier or whatever is something u might like.
That way your not spending a high amount of the bat for something u might not like and having to spend even more just for something u "might" like.
If you take for example some cheap airsoft brand for a pouch, spend maybe $10, and find out u dont like something about that type of pouch is not that big of a waste. And in my experience it might be a useful pouch for something else.
Compared to spending of the bat $30 or higher for a pouch, then not liking it, that can get expensive quite quickly.

Another thing: think about the gun you are using. Dont get some obscure boutique gun. The most popular CCW guns are popular for a reason. Then think about a light and/or red dot optic attached to the gun. This will change your starting price for even budget holsters so moving up is preferred. Invest in the holster as you invested in the gun to dave your life. I use Guerrilla Tactical Lo-Pro with a Shadow Systems MR920, HS507C-X2, TLR-7A

I've been buying we the people holsters and Tege holsters and they've been working just fine last few years. I have a couple of 200 hundred dollar holsters and the difference isn't really that much at least safety wise. I think the Tege holsters are a great value. You can adjust tension on front. Back, and inside.

Im definitely the holster box guy. Every level from cheap leather from amazon, cya, to concealment express. Then i started getting tier 1 concealed iwbs. I recently wanted to tryan owb for the 1st time. Got a tulster for my shield plus, then tried Bravo concealment for my cz p10c. The bravo is cheap, works ok. But i gotta say, i emailed them and they have been excellent in customer service.

To be honest I see it as 2 extremes
I have cheap holsters, and more expensive holsters.
Some expensive holsters are just too full of things you don't use, and it makes them bulky
Depending on your need, a cheap holster is a lot leaner, easier to conceal, lighter and just simpler
For my 1911 I use a sidecar holster, and for my glock 19 I'm getting just a regular holster
Both of them are handmade tho.
That way I can be sure it fits my need with no extra stuff that I'll never use and will just end up being something to poke me inside my pants

  • @SeanTownsendStormrider

You are being unfair to injection molded holsters like Blade-Tech, Raven, and Bravo Concealment. You are correct about the set cant, but material strength science is more complicated than how it feels. The injection molded material is tough as hell and usually is less temperature sensitive than kydex or boltaron. Higher tier concealment holsters are more expensive for the same reason 1911s are expensive, they are hand crafted. Bravo Concealment has great customer service. Be fair, if you are going to use a "budget holster" for comparison, get a real piece of shit like Fobus. I think you owe the owner of Bravo Concealment a phone conversation about their product. I run JM Custom Kydex and Safariland holsters exclusively now, so this isn't me justifying a purchase. I have run the Bravo holster and it's quality and durability is fine.

    • @spartanpatriot3163
      @spartanpatriot3163 Год назад +1

Exactly! Calling Bravo holsters cheap because how it feels means he’s a fan of paying $150 for $5 worth of kydex.
30 bucks for Bravo that fits better the 90% of anything else out there. Just because it’s low cost doesn’t mean it’s cheap.

I find the claims presented in this video to be too generalized to be accurate, and at parts, it seems to be 'stretching', to put it lightly. There are expensive holsters that are not quality, there are expensive brands that do not support the product and/or have desirable customer service. There are 'budget' holsters that are quality, and budget brands that do support the product and have desirable customer service. Likewise, there are expensive brands that do not put effort into the details and there are budget brands that do.

You had a middle of the road holster that you never really addressed. The features of that holster might fit the requirements of most of us. I have carried holstered guns my whole life and none of the holsters were custom holsters. Thumb brakes or leather loops work well for retaining my handguns. That being said, I have reached a point in my life that I can afford one of these high dollar holsters and I might buy one just to see what they are like.

Yes, there is a difference. Some kydex holsters may cause premature wear to you handgun finish. Is there a reason why you didn't mention any leather holsters? I still have some Del Fatti, Mitch Rosen and Galco holsters that should last a lifetime. Please tell buyers to never purchase a Blackhawk SERPA holster. The retention device may cause an N.D.. They have been banned by the LAPD. Thnx.

I agree. I learned the value of a quality leather holster a long time ago. Leather isn't tactical or as easy to produce, but a custom leather piece or a quality full leather "production" piece from Tucker Gun Leather. (HF1 for my 1911 is amazing.) Nothing rides, wears or endures like quality gun leather.

  • @Proudloser95

A polymer "cheap" holster is miles and miles stronger, more durable, heat resistant, manufacturing tolerance are way more controlled than any over priced kydex bender out there. Handguns aren't made out of cheap recycled kydex, its made out of polymers. I'll take a polymer holster over any of my high end kydex holsters any day of the week.

  • @mikopaq

Yeah even the "high end" companies will send you a new holster if you have issues, because it's not worth the price of return shipping. Anything over $40 is way overpriced.
