One of my favorite prayers in abandoning to Divine Providence are the words from the Psalm. O Lord I trust in Thee, grant that I shall never be put to shame.

Since you guys love the rosary, I'll share this (out of the goodness of my vast heart ;)........ not really, Lord have mercy. )
I've been looking at the catholic church for a couple of years now and one night I just asked God "Hey, if there is any truth to this let a Rosary come to me - I will not ask anyone or hint or anything just complete silence and if it shows up I take it as a sign." A few days or weeks (dont remember exactly) my wife hands me a Rosary "I found this in the basement, thought you'd want it" (we're protestants - why in the world did she have a rosary?). I didnt begin praying it though, too scary. That was sometime last year. Now I've started to pray it daily. I struggle with the teachings on Mary - And its a struggle to pray the Rosary some days, but man, its powerful against sin. Praise God!
That's an increadible story. What causes you to struggle with the teachings on Mary?
What an amazing story!! Thank you so much for sharing! I am a Catholic who embraces my faith very much! We live a traditional homeschooling lifestyle. I say this first so that I can share, I too, sometimes struggle with strong Marian verbiage. Maybe because I did not have a good mother, maybe because I lost my mother at a young age, maybe because I have a burning heart for Jesus. Regardless, I sometimes struggle with certain prayers or explanations of Mary. With all that said, I still love the blessed Virgin Mary, I know she is Holy, I know Jesus loved her tenderly and dearly, I know as a mother myself what it must of felt like at the Wedding of Cana when she had to let go of Jesus to begin his ministry, how she must of felt on the way of the cross and at the foot of the cross. One time I was taking a walk and I saw a bumper sticker, it read, Well behaved women rarely make history. I was like, that’s not true, look at Mary! Anyhow- I’m rambling! God bless you sir and keep seeking Truth. Pray to the Holy Spirit that he may lead you where God wants you!
@@76katster Thank you for rambling :) I've never thought about that aspect until now that you pointed it out - but my relationship with my earthly mom is non-existent. Which in a way makes me want my heavenly mom even more, but maybe there is something deep within that is hurt and have a hard time accepting it! I'll have to think on it :)
I had similar doubts for a while and they would often reoccur. The main one was that I "loved Mary too much and didn't love Jesus enough." This caused me to fall back on my Marian devotion a couple of times, but I would always be more susceptible to sin when I fell back and I knew that the only way to love Jesus more perfectly was through the Blessed Mother. The last time the temptation happened I was in biology class and while I was thinking that I didn't love Jesus enough an interior voice interrupted my thoughts and said "remember why you're doing this."
At that moment I fully understood that I gave myself to Mary in order to love Jesus more perfectly. Jesus trusted Mary with His life, there's no reason why we can't do the same.
@@filsdelleche6592 Well since I am and have been a protestant since I came to faith 10 years ago its a bit hard a pill to swallow. We never talk about Mary, none of my teachers or mentors have ever mentioned Mary - and if they did it was not in the way Catholics speak about her.
I can kind of see the typology aspect of Mary, being the arc of the covenant and so forth.
I can also see that she would be a queen since she is the mother of a king.
But the talk about her having power, dwelling within, leading believers, answering prayers (EI being the mediatrix of grace) feels like she's taking the role of the Holy Spirit and its weird for me to think about a human in such a close proximity to that of the work of the Holy Spirit. Yet I also understand the idea of her being the spouse of the Holy Spirit.
I guess when push comes to shove its the mediatrix stuff I struggle the most with. It feels like she's taking the place of God. And thats scary because if that is true I'm in trouble by praying to her.
But all this stuff is mostly in the feelings right now, I think I can wrap my head around the teachings pretty well and I cannot in anyway refute them - which means I kind of believe?

This speaks to me. I am 27 and unemployed at the moment. I try to help with the chores at home but I fall short more times than I succeed. I often wonder why I have been driven to this point... I was always a good student and a faithful child of God... and though I have many blessings, a loving and supportive family, a lifelong relationship with God, my career has been a no- show. I spend hours regretting the courses I took in college and the paths I chose... because nothing has fructided into anything worthwhile.
And I pray and beg the Lord and the Blessed Mother to open some door for me, but all I get in return is silence.
I should learn to follow St. Catherine's advice and trust that everything comes from the loving hand of God.
I will pray for you! I saw a quote in an App during the hights of Covid which said "Turn it into a retreat!" I know thats easy to say and hard to do, but try to spend some time with God. At the very least he is a comforter and said "thouse of who seek shall find." God bless.
Trust in the Lord. I'm learning that as well. When things aren't going my way and nothing seems to happen, I cry and fall into a mini despair, but then I pick myself up and move on, that is when he shows up! Then I get mad at myself for not trusting more. Lol, endless cycle. I see it like this... we act little children and throw tantrums when we don't get what we want right away, and like a good parent HE waits till we're done complaining and whining (for some like me despairing and crying) and shows up and gives us what need and not what we want. I laugh at the end when I realize how I behave. In the end, God is Good. Sorry, hope that helps. Praying for you! God bless! 😊🙏✝️

Providence alright! I was discussing an important decision I had been avoiding making out of fear. The minute I gained a decisive clarity during my phone call, the youtube notification came on with the words covering my facetime call: “abandonment to divine providence” I knew right then and there. Prayers answered. Clarity acquired. Trust placed. Moving forwarding in total abandon to divine will! Thank you Gabi and thank you Adrian for such an eloquent and touching testimony to providence. Children of Mary really are the best :)

I've been struggling with intrusive lustful/blasphemous thoughts during prayer and mass on a regular basis for months now. I understand that God has a plan, but it's hard to understand how having those thoughts (which ultimately takes my focus away from prayer and the mass) is actually a good thing. Especially since I deal with scrupulosity, and think that those thoughts and feelings are very sinful. If you have any advice that would be awesome. It's tough because for me, the thoughts cause me great anxiety, which leads me to sin out of frustration. It's an ongoing cycle that gets me so sad, especially because I don't want to hurt God. I accept God's will and know that I will never understand why things like this happen, but it's been having a real effect on me lately.
I'll definitely pray for you, I've dealt with this recently as well. I suggest Uniformity with God's Will by St. Alphonsus de Liguori for some good explanations and the fruits of such things. When you get through this, even if it isn't until after you are in heaven, you will see the merit of the struggle itself. Blessed be God. I wish I had the book on me so I could offer words of comfort from St. Alphonsus, but since I unfortunately lost this book I don't have much to offer immediately. In the end, prayer will have more merit than anything else so keep that rosary close. I'll offer some for you as well. In any case, these trials do serve to help men grow in virtue in the long run. Even St. Paul had temptations toward impurity and scrupulosity. In any case, God bless you. I wish you well in your trials.

I seen a Hail Joseph Rosary online and the idea came to me to make 3 Hail Joseph devotion prayers as a personal devotion. One of the promises of devotion to St Joseph is that God will give special graces to be delivered from temptations (I've been struggling with the exact same problems as you) I'll share the 3 Hail Joseph devotion that I made to pray myself

Hello just wanted to add that at john 14;6 jesus states i am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. So jesus is our mediator and it is through his name that we pray. Mary is not our mediator, jesus is and he alone.
