If you are not used to driving on the left side, it can be tricky. I had no problems since I am from the UK so I'm used to it. Praslin is my favourite island in the Seychelles and the beaches there were amazing, and yes been to Vallee de Mai within the national park. Anse Lazio is my favourite beach but loved Anse Georgette and Grand Anse
Hi, I just watched all your Seychelles videos, they’re amazing, thank you for lots of info. Could you also please tell the apartment name that you stayed in Praslin?
Ive never heard of this place. Its amazing! Also your bathing suits, that black one! Love it. Where did you get it? I just found you. Im binging watching you guys. Thank you!!
Food was a little expensive. I guess they have to fly in a lot, as there isn't a lot of land for farming. We probably could have done it cheaper though
Aww, brings back so many memories. Our first international trip together was to Seychelles 🥰 Looks like you had an amazing time! Hiring a car is the best! And all the beaches are just so beautiful 😍 Your dinner looks soooo delicious 🤤
Hi, really enjoying your videos!! Especially these Seychelles series! Did you have to register your drone prior to flights?? If so, could you explain the process? Thanks! X
I did not have to register the drone for the Seychelles. From my understanding you do not need permits as long as you follow the rules, which are the same as most countries (don't fly over 400 ft, don't fly over crowds, keep in eyesight, don't fly close to airports, etc)
Hi there, thank you for sharing your travel journey, the video is amazing. I’m planning to travel in February, do you think that’s a good time to travel? Also, could you mention the temp range you felt / found while in your travel. I am also inquisitive about the variety of vegetarian foods available on the island, are there options for veg people apart from fruits? And lastly, how much tan did the sun acquired on your skin? 😝Just curious. Thanks again for the video guys. Regards,
We were in The Seychelles in March, so expect similar weather to what we had if you travel in February. It was pretty hot and muggy. I don't think you will have issues finding vegetarian foods, Lots of Rice dishes. As for tanning, we are pretty good with putting on sunscreen so not too much tan for us.
They arranged it for us at our hotel. We tried getting it for a second day and it was all booked out, but they didn't have an issue with us only getting it for one day
Haaaai, We are going november this year to the Seychelles.. Staying 7 days on Praslin and 10 days on La Digue. Should we switch that up. And how about Qatar economy legggg space. Love the video's!! Greetszz Irene
40 eur/day for a car, how about excess? I guess all rental companies have some excess according to my research. Didn't it bother you when rented a car? Going to Mahe, but don't know how to get around without a car. Prices per car per day start form 75/day without excess.
I mean the renter’s liability in the event of an accident. Normal offer in Seychelles rental companies sounds like : 40-45 per day, full insurance with 1200€ excess ( by paying an additional 6 € per day excess is coming down to 500€ ) and so on. Is this ok to accept?
Gosh.. so many complaints about being sweaty! Go for a swim! Open the car windows! Get yourself a traditional Spanish fan.. made out of wood with no decorative holes for the best draft! The problem is, as Americans, you're used to living in a false environment, relying on air conditioning, and set to really cold too. The air-con in the US is crazy, it's ice cold, I don't know how I didn't get pneumonia with the constant change in temperature and sweat drying on your frozen skin. It's really not good for you. So, as you travel a lot, here's some unsolicited advice! It may help you in the future... The best thing you can do is try to do without air-con, or really limit your use and if you do use it, don't set it to too cold. I just use it to cool my bedroom down an hour before going to bed, then it's switched off, lights off too so bugs aren't attracted, and the windows are opened; a bedside fan too for if it's very hot.. you can get travel size USB chargeable ones now too. The problem is, every time you get in the car, or inside somewhere with air conditioning, you're preventing yourself from acclimatising. The benefit of cooling off is only temporary as you'll notice the heat even more when you leave the air-conditioned space. It's one step forward and ten steps backwards. Remember how your mum used to tell you to take your coat off or you won't feel the benefit when you go outside? Well it's like that, but the opposite way around. Using fans (traditional handheld ones too), opening windows and doors for air movement, shielding yourself, your car or your room from the sun, and staying out of the midday sun, is much better for you. Drink plenty of water too. You'll be amazed how quickly your body adjusts. It's better for the environment as well. After all, the planet is warming up and think of all those air conditioning units going full blast, all contributing to global warming. Anyway... Before I got sidetracked I came here to tell you something you may or may not have missed. On the guided tour of Vallée de Mai you're told that it is thought to be the Garden of Eden and the Coco de Mer the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil / The Tree of Life. I found that theory quite fascinating, and maybe true, especially as the Coco de Mer palm has separate male and female trees with the female coco de mer fruit resembling a women's pelvis and the male coco de mer catkin resembling a man's penis. The Seychelles were once part of the super-continent of Gondwanaland, and those granite islands are all that is left to remind us that Africa and India were once joined. So I like to believe that I have walked in the Garden in Eden. It's a magical place and I have a polished Coco de Mer in pride of place in my home. Wishing you both safe travels. My travelling days are largely over so I'm very envious. Enjoy!
I beg you to go to the Seychelles in March and walk around for a while and then just tell us to go for a swim for how sweaty we got lol. But we appreciate the lecture on air conditioning...
@@TheAwkwardTourists Not a lecture, a well meaning voice from many many years of experience in hot climates. I was in Mahe, Praslin and La Digue, in November 1983, one of the hottest months, no Trade Wind. We had a 2yr old and I was 5 months pregnant, no air conditioning in any of the places we stayed. In Praslin there wasn’t even glass in the windows, only bug mesh. Times have moved on since then, not always for the better, we’re killing the planet.

Really love the way you guys have a flexible itinerary and take the opportunity to explore!
Flexibility is the name of the game with employee air travel
I could practically feel the heat through the video!
It was pretty sweaty. haha

Hi, I just watched all your Seychelles videos, they’re amazing, thank you for lots of info. Could you also please tell the apartment name that you stayed in Praslin?
Thank you! you really helped with my home sickness. I miss the Seychelles.
It is such a beautiful country. We were really glad we were able to experience it

Ive never heard of this place. Its amazing!

Congratulations for your national holiday on 29th June Seychelles from your friends in Germany
Did we meet you on the beach? How's it going?
I really like the educational bits and peaces you put in your videos. Also, one of your lenses seems to have dirty spots on it 😅
Thanks, we try to make them a little educational. And we noticed the spot too, The sensor was professionally cleaned after this trip.
Great vids. I am planning a trip but I am from a place that has no humidity, ugh.
It was sweatier than we are used to , but so worth it!
That little beach is gorgeous!! But I’m surprised Seychelles is so expensive! But coming from the Maldives, I guess it’s cheap? 😅

Hi, could you share the name of your accommodation please? I'm planning a trip there in June 2024!
Hi, what beach was that at 5:15 ? Thanks
Anse Cimitiere
Hi, where did you rent the car? Everywhere we looked the minimum is 3 days and we also want it for one day only 😫
They arranged it for us at our hotel. We tried getting it for a second day and it was all booked out, but they didn't have an issue with us only getting it for one day
Can you tell me the name of the beach in 13:40min?:)
Thank you🤗

La Digue was our favorite island of the Seychelles, We really loved the vibe there, so I think you will be good with more time there.
Did google maps work for you guys in Praslin?
Yes it did, When we had service at least...
Am traveling to Seychelles soon I need a friend from Seychelles please
Did you have to co-habitat with the lizards in your room?
There were a few tiny ones around. I think we only had one come inside though, We were able to catch it with a cup and put it back outside
